Evans could always switch his residency to Ward 8 and run for the council from there. Folks east of the river seem to be more forgiving of ethics violations. Heck, they kept re-electing and re-electing the crooked ex-mayor-for-life, Marion Barry.

There's an occupant of that big White House whose crooked and unethical in addition to being an all-around asshole but it looked like lots of forgiving people were eager to get him re-elected at his recent 2020 campaign rally.
