Do you have to back into every parking space?

Your statement is idiotic. You also don't back out in one maneuver. The entry and exit combined take the same amount of time whether you back in or not. Get a newer car with a backup camera and you'll see how easy and convenient it is.

Yes. I always back in. Despite what all you know it alls have to say about it, every professional driver and vehicle safety expert will tell you it is the safest approach.

Know why new cars are mandated to have back-up cameras? Because too many idiots back over and kill their own children in their driveways every year.

How is backing in easier? I have a minivan and it is so hard to see when backing in.

Minivan and my DH's SUV are impossible to back up (even with all of the back up cameras)- they are too big!

Yeaaaaaahhhhh... and the number of times you and he have had to leap across the hood while exchanging fire with a perp and scramble into the car so you can peel out on a high-speed chase is... zero. But there's always a first time, right?

I was just lamenting on Friday how much time I've had wasted standing and waiting for some asshole to back in to his space.

I work for a large engineering firm, and we have no such requirement.

The only thing they care about is, "thou shalt drive a boring econobox that costs no more than the allowed per diem rate".

The fact that you think your time is worth more than everyone else's says volumes about you.

Tragically, most narcissists are unaware of their affliction.

Same sense of entitlement as those drivers who cannot be bothered to clear the snow/ice off their cars before driving. They can drive around me if it bothers them! They can wait for me to park!

Our van and car don’t have backup cameras-backing in is a huge pita.

HAHAHAHAHAHA... are you a salesperson?

No, engineer.

+1. This is very common in the oil and gas world. I had a client in TX who not only required it on company business but also in all company lots no matter who you were. They had some pull-through spots for visitors but even those had arrows indicating which way to exit.

Thank you for elaborating, instead of throwing insults. Only empty minds throw insults.

Don't tell me, born and raised in this area? A little p*ssed off about it?

OP, you aren’t supposed to park bumper-to-bumper. You leave space between your car and the car behind you. There should be room for you to get back there and load the trunk.

+1. I back in 100% every time. And I can do it in one motion.

Wait, so not only do you insist on backing in; you also insist that there be no car change (parked) behind you in the interim, until you return to your car? And if there is, in your absence, you control where and how that car parks? Well, now you are impressing me.
