| Seriously. And how do you get your groceries into your car without bumping into the car next to you? |
| Well I don’t understand that. The groceries.... Why is there less space between cars if you back in? |
| Some minivans have a weird turning radius and it's actually easier to back into a tight space. Sorry if that means you need to sit still in your car for an extra three seconds. I know your struggle is real. Hang in there. |

I always back in (or pull through.) Best way of parking. And, it is safe and takes less time overall because pulling out has better visibility and backing in has full visibility.
Also, DH is LEO and was taught to ALWAYS back in under any circumstance and he has passed that along to me. |
| Took a class from Smith Driving and they suggest backing in as the safest way to park. |
|
Backing in is just safer--far less likely to be surprised by cross traffic and pedestrians.
Using this logic, I usually DON'T back in if a lot is super-crowded because I assume that there will be somebody waiting to grab my spot when I back out to leave. |
| Yes |
| Ew. I think people who back in have some other reason besides "safety" and convenience. I think these a holes love inconveniencing others. You rarely do it in one maneuver, so don't claim you don't take extra time. |
| Special snowflakes who do this - you are annoying and everyone hates you. |
| When driving cars on company business we are required to back in. |
See, the snarky responses like this tell me that this PP, and people like her, go about their day in a spiteful manner. It makes them feel like they have purpose or "control' or "voice" in their otherwise very pitiful, meek and ordinary lives. OP, they are not only bad drivers, but would you want to be them? No thanks. |
HAHAHAHAHAHA... are you a salesperson? |
| Ummm- every idiot in Rockville backs into their parking spot. |
| IM TRying get into the habit more but I hate when people are waiting for me so often end up not bothering. I love the visibility when I’m leaving when I do back in, though. |
Just curious why they teach LEOs that? Just so they can roll to a job faster if they need to? Or something else? |
