too stupid to use protection — how do you tell this? Do you ask? Do they tell? Do you assume?
I’m a single mom, and I’m sure people are making this assumption about me, but it isn’t true. I got pregnant while using birth control. It’s more common than you think. Did you know that half of all abortion patients were actually using contraception?

Do you expect unmarried women just not to have sex at all? Or just the ones that aren’t sleeping with you? Because I was 34 when my contraception failed, and it seems a bit unreasonable to stay a virgin at that age.
Or do you expect all unmarried women who get pregnant to have abortions? That’s definitely not the message society sends these days.
I decided to have my child. That’s a personal decision that came after a lot of thought.
What’s a deal-breaker for me is men like you who assume automatically that being a single mom is a result of some kind of slutty stupidity. Actually, it’s a dealbreaker that you even think it’s your privilege to judge me for becoming a single or unmarried mom, especially without knowing any details.
Why bother with people like that poster? I am a single mom by choice and i get some of the same comments.
