A Million Little Things

Now it’s all I can hear, which is completely irritating because I don’t think it’s supposed to be there. Is it slipping out on accident?? Or did I miss her background from another country storyline?!

The acting is definitely getting worse, storyline is super cheesy...but I’m still watching...

The actress who plays the widow is French. I assumed the character is French as well, since the accent is pretty clear to me.

The fact that there has been no background explaination and that her Dad doesn’t have an accent leads me to believe she is simply failing at an American accent...

Yeah, it's weird that the dad doesn't have an accent. But they did mention that when the couple met, she was on her way to France so perhaps an explanation will come out later.

I thought the same thing or maybe he was having an affair with her.

I doubt it, think it would be too cliche. There is the mystery of the woman's name listed in John's trust that even she didn't know. My guess is that John the corporate shark hurt someone, intentionally or unintentionally, couldn't live with the guilt and is leaving that person money to atone. It would also explain why, if he did in fact know about his wife and bff's affair, it was not of primary importance to him in the scheme of things. Particularly if he understood he bore some responsibility in her feeling emotionally alone for a long time.

Maybe Katherine is a better woman than I'll ever be, but there is no way in hell I would stand in Delilah's kitchen leaning against her island sipping wine, while my cheating husband and his friends all joke around shortly after the news of our broken marriage has been passed around the group like a bowl of Fritos.

It’s the magic of television. And her cute little boy who crowed that they always have Friday Night Pizza at Uncle Jon’s. Mom, pleeeese?

I don’t understand how he could have so carefully planned everything (like the daughter dance partner) but left something crucial up to his assistant just lying next his launch point.

I picked up on that last night too. I think she is just not very good faking an American accent because there are times she sounds ok and time where you can hear her accent. I have had to question whether I hear an accent or not. if she was suppose to be straight up French she would have a strong accent all the time.

It's another cliche I am tired of: person A cheats on person B and person B, who didn't cheat, takes a lump sum of the blame. 2 people cheated on their spouses who worked like crazy. Her salary afforded him season hockey tickets and plenty of mope time because his opening act rock band days are gone and he now teaches guitar lessons. The cheating woman had the luxury of being a sahm. Maybe she needed attention and a purpose, but she had the means to fix her feelings, but she chose to cheat with one of her husband's best friends who couldn't afford to live in her driveway let alone support her cushy life.

I have the last episode recorded though I cheated and read a synopsis. Show is not quite swirling the drain already but is in the bathroom.

Agreed. I really began losing interest last night.

I thought the show was going to have a much darker theme since one friend was attempting suicide as another one actually did. I am glad the friend who didn't kill himself is trying to get counseling even if there is some comedy behind the counseling.

Same. I kind of hate all the characters at this point, except for Rome and Regina. Plus the writing and acting is so ugh. If you haven't watched yet, there's a scene with Delilah and Regina where Regina tells D "just breathe, everything will be ok." Um.... does she watch the show? Good lord. I feel like I have to at least watch next week when according to the previews it looks like some answers are coming about John's secret. After that, I'm out.
