I think the argument is that the new girl is a therapist and they are kind of grabbing on to her as a life boat since she is a therapist and this something of an authority on this.

She is invested in them by she is new in town, no friends, and desperately wants avoid the fact she is dying.

I'm watching and like it so far. I have questions like how long was the affair? If Jon knew, for how long? He seemed to have his affairs in order if you will so it feels like he had planning his suicide. I'm gonna keep watching for now.

I just watched the most recent episode and I have to say, I'm kind of hating Jon. He absolutely did plan for everything, but he didn't bother to write a note? His poor kids will never have answers. At the same time though, my crush on Gary is growing.

He did leave a not. His assistant is hiding it. Some how related to restaurant by Ash is seen speaking about the new subway stop and hushed up with the women arrived. There’s a not and a business style folder.

Its like the hired the same writer they used for the after school specials. Remember the hit after school special "Bro Code". I have to wonder what garbage did they say "no" to if this is their biggest show?

Whereas I could care less about the assistant. I know we haven't seen much of her but I'm already bored with the office intrigue side of it.

I watched the first two episodes and don't particularly like any of the characters. If they were trying to be on par with This Is Us emotionally they've failed in my book.

I’ve been midly interested in the first few episodes, but as I watch tonight I can’t stop hearing a slight accent from the widow (French maybe?). Now it’s all I can hear, which is completely irritating because I don’t think it’s supposed to be there. Is it slipping out on accident?? Or did I miss her background from another country storyline?!

The acting is definitely getting worse, storyline is super cheesy...but I’m still watching...
