You're good!

I am pretty sure Randall called Toby to ask if he was coming down and Toby looked like he was in a hotel.

consipracy theory it's Kate's funeral

But didn't Toby say something like "she doesn't want to see me"? Who would he be talking about?

Maybe Kate and Toby were successful in having a child and they don't have a relationship with Toby as an adult?

I set my DVR to record -- but only one hour recorded. What was the other hour?

You didn't miss anything; it was only one hour.

I'm so glad the show is back. I hope for some happiness for Kate.

Nothing is better than funny Randall.

Love funny Randall! And funny Kevin too. Both crack me up.

The “football player?” Show some respect - it was the great Franco Harris. I do wonder if his backstory intersects with the Pearson’s though.

Poor Kate too.

Lol, I bet most of us watching have no idea that is based off a real perso , even when you say the name I have no clue who it is and I live in Pittsburgh

You live in Pittsburgh and don’t know Franco Harris? Did you recently move there? Do you pay no attention to Pittsburgh history/pop culture events?

Simmer down. Can you conceive of a world where people don't give a shit whatsoever about professional sports? It's the world I live in, and my life is quite full.

+1
This ridiculous outrage about some football player is hysterical.

Oh, here we go again. Can't you people simply let the writers take creative liberties with their story? Not everything is going to be perfectly accurate - nor should it have to be. It's FICTION, not a documentary.

I think Kate should have taken the doctor's initial assessment as a sign. She should have decided to have gastric bypass surgery and she and Toby could have adopted, thereby having their baby, saving thousands of dollars, and probably saving Kate's life in the process.

Kate and Toby have a daughter. Kate dies and the daughter blames Toby for her death, or something that happened when she was growing up. That’s the “she” in she doesn’t want to see me.
Too obvious for these writers?

Not that good. The Immaculate Reception was in 1972.

I don’t see any outrage about Franco Harris. But if you can’t understand the great football nuances of this show, you’re really missing out. If you’d simmer down, maybe you could get it.
Now an outdoor carnival in December in Pittsburgh? There’s your outrage.

There is creative liberty and then there are things that are just so wrong they don’t make sense. You don’t see any of us criticizing the portrayal of Franco’s family, do you? We understand that is creative liberty? But a carnival in Pittsburgh in December? And rumblings of thunder? That is just wrong!

Have you ever been to Pittsburgh? It's literally impossible not to know who he is whether you like and watch sports or not.

It's not outrage, it's disbelief. He is still a hero all over town, which is why we can't believe someone who lives there doesn't know who he is.

Also, how realistic was the 90% failure rate that was given to Kate for her IVF?

well IVF in a healthy 39 year old woman I think has only about a 30--40% success rate of a live birth (this is an important distinction from just getting pregnant) per any given cycle. at least thats what I read when I went through at that age. (and luckily was in the 40% success rate). PCOS is a major issue for fertility, as is the weight in general.

So the Franco Harris Steelers stuff in 72 or 73 is when Jack and Rebecca met? I’m thinking no. The triplets were born in 80 and J and R were really young then. I think the FH stuff was just a parallel narrative to their story and set the stage for the family’s Steelers mania.
