Was Obama indirectly responsible for Trump becoming president?

Wikileaks is a Russia propaganda arm website and information cache. I will not click on it.

So are the NY Times, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC.

We know that Trump is thin-skinned and what Obama did to him must have been humiliating. But if the speculation has any basis - and, yes, Trump has flirted with running for decades - it would be the ultimate irony that a bunch of jokes about Trump by Obama was the catalyst for Trump seeking the presidency and ultimately winning the election .......... and in the process undoing much of what Obama thought would be his legacy.

If being a black president triggering all the racists and morons is a mantle for responsibility, then sure.

How did Obama win so decisively in 2008? Were those voters not aware he was black? Did they become racist after 2008?

So much for Obama's legacy!

Obama's legacy is President Trump

And this is the truth! He may have provoked Trump into running and then to make matters worse he backed the one Democratic candidate who could not win against Trump because she was so flawed.

+1.

Obama's last couple of years was a succession of disasters, with 75%:Americans saying "we were on the wrong track."

Hillary was a bad candidate both because of her own behavior and because she was seen by many as Obama's third term.

Exactly! The vast majority of voters thought Obama's liberal policies sent us in the wrong direction (although they liked him personally), so Hillary thinks that promising to continue down that wrong track is a winning strategy? Talk about time deaf!

To make matters worse, Hillary did not have a fraction of Obama's charm. So she was promising more of the wrong track without any of Obama's redeeming qualities. And the Democrats actually thought that would win them the election!

Hillary got more votes than Trump pp. Trump conned the people in the "left behind states"

Completely meaningless. Trump structured his campaign to get the electoral votes he needed to win. Hillary wasted time in California, getting all the popular votes from a state already in the bag.

Blah blah blah. He has no mandate and is forcing policy on the very people who don't want what he is offering up. It will impact the GDP before too long.

Still the better choice between the two.

NP here -- you're delusional

I think the unleashed racism and hatred of elites that got Trump elected was in direct response to what Obama embodied. So yes but for different reasons.

I will answer your question with the truth that liberals deny: Racism is highly, highly exaggerated, and all these attacks of "racist!" and "Nazi" are overblown cries from spoiled losers who have to blame thier loss on something that makes them feel superior. They simply cannot face that the liberal policies of sympathizing more with illegal immigrants (whom liberals describe as hard workers) than hard-working, law-abiding Americans (whom liberals describe as deplorable morons and racists) finally caught up with them.
