How do you approach/ask for sex?

We don't even need words. A "look" combined with head tilt in the general direction of the bedroom says it all.

Last night my FWB came over and we laughed, joked, talked, smiled, flirted, starting touching a little and then he kissed me. We progressed from there.

IMO you have to build the atmosphere before going in for the kill.

Well, when you invite a fwb over action is pretty much assumed and you're both in the mood otherwise you wouldn't be getting together.

+1

Give me a fjcking break

Sex is not guaranteed. I'm not a prostitute. In any case, no FWB/boyfriend/husband in their right mind walks in the door and says "Are we f***ing?"

Hmm I'm prety sure some pps pretty much confirmed that some couples do indeed just say " Wanta f**k?"

As for the rest of your little rant stop sleeping with him and see how long your friendship lasts.

Don't complicate things. Be direct. Have fun!

I like romance as well. Heck, I literally made my husband watch a clip from Outlander to show him how to properly wake a woman for sex. But as much as I like romance, I also like it when he grabs me and whispers something smutty (like what he plans to do to me that night).

What episode, please?

Season 1, episode 111: The Devil's Mark. It's near the end. He thinks it's their last night together. She's sleeping, and he gently awakens her...slowly...using his hands. Then he focuses on her.

If you haven't watched the series, you should. I actually showed my husband a few select episodes (the wedding episode in season 1 is great). It's a very passionate love story, and the male lead is very old school when it comes to romance and foreplay.

If you don't have Starz, you can buy the app for $8.99 and binge all 3 seasons.

You are my kind of woman!

DH will caress me until I get in the mood. I usually just reach over and see if his penis is hard.

+1. No way for him to get consent before he starts groping her.

Last night, my boyfriend came over. We had sex that morning. He looked at me after he got there and after we were saying "Hello" and asked me, "Are we going to have sex tonight?"

I feel like he was basically saying, "You're having sex with me tonight, right?"

No kissing. No hugging.

I was offended because I don't like to be asked in that way...I would like to give him better tools for next time on how to ask me, or insinuate he wants sex, but not sure how to verbalize it other than coming off mean to him and cold...thoughts?

Maybe he's taking ED meds and doesn't want to poison himself if it's not a sure thing.

More like he already took a $30 ED pill and he wants to make sure he didn't waste his money.

This! 63M. Taking Cialis guarantees two more days of Zantac and Tums for the heartburn. I’ve wasted more Cialis than I’ve used.

Did you even watch it? It's not rapey at all. She wakes up, is clearly into it, and begs him to...well ya know.

If you watch the series (or google "what outlander can teach Hollywood about consent"), you would realize that he always asks if he can kiss her/touch her/whatever. He'll ask her if she wants him.

Of course there are times it just happens but to be honest, if it’s been a few days and we’ve both been really busy, we’ll make a plan to do it the next day, like a date. Otherwise I feel like it can be really easy to fall into the “I’m so tired, maybe tomorrow” grind of life. When he makes the plan with me, it lets me know he’s been thinking of me and isn’t avoiding it, and vice versa.

That’s what I get, the too tired thing. I’m tired too. All the time. We both work and put in a lot of effort in career, house, kid. I guess it’s just not a priority for her as everything else takes precedence. The time I don’t get laid I spend at the gym as it’s the only way to get any frustration out. Plus I don’t mind the scenery and I notice when you’re in there working with intensity you get approached. Thats happen to me more times than I can count on two hands.

Me: At around ten or so I will take a shower, put on a non-mommy nightie and then go up to DH and tell him it's time for bed. Last night he turned off a football game in a nano second.

Him: Early in the evening he will start dropping subtle hints and get pretty touchy.

If we are staying at a very nice hotel for one night no one asks because it is a guaranteed part of the itinerary. Without our children in the next room we really let loose.

If we've had a relaxed evening and I'm in the mood I simply cuddle up against him and slide my hand down into his boxer shorts. It works just about every time.

Did he get her consent before waking her up? Just because she had sex with him earlier, that doesn't mean she consents now. I understand how, in fiction, this might be hot. But, in real life, you can't just grope a sleeping woman and hope she wakes up and decides she's into it.
