Has anyone received an HGC letter yet?!

Anonymous
My kid (Drew-feeder school) has no clue, either, and doesn't have strong opinions about the HGC yet because she doesn't know anybody who has done it and we haven't talked about it much. I'm assuming that the kids who feel this pressure must have friends or an older sibling who has gone to the program so that they know more about it. If not, I don't understand how they are so anxious about it.

I, on the other hand, am pretty anxious for the results, just so I can stop wondering about what next year is going to look like for my family's logistics!

Yup. Letters to those who did not get in, and emails to those that did get in.

Last year letters to all, e-mails only to accepted (but a PP posted no e-mails this year). The acceptance came in a 9x12 because it included forms for the parents to fill out and return.

OMG.

lol, I love that you're asking the mailman. Breathe deeply. It's going to be ok.

LOL. I wouldn't have thought of it, but my husband like to chat up the mailman, the neighbors, the bus driver, the teachers....

My DS is stomping around the house in a pissy mood because of his anxiety while waiting. It's like having a teenager waiting to get college acceptances. I see myself 20+ years ago waiting for my acceptance to MIT and giving my parents hell.

If it was 20+ years ago and not 30+ years ago you must have had your kid really young!

Not PP, but I got into college 19 years ago and am waiting for my child's HGC letter. I guess according to you, I had my child very young. Only in the DC area is having a child at 27 really young...

I was wondering the same! Has my DD at age 31 and graduated college in 1994. That was 20+ years ago. 30+ years would have me in college really young!

Yup. Waiting for my 3rd grader's results. 30 years ago I was in grade 3.

Do rejections letter arrive at the same time as acceptance letters?

Congrats! Strange to send one letter saying another is coming. Why not email and then send the big envelope?

Did they provide median scores this time around?

Yes I had the same question if they showed the median scores
That would be helpful
