What difference does it make who does this? This sort of unsolicited opinion is uncalled for. I'm in a house I don't intend to stay in. It's new, but I don't like it, so I don't invest in the cosmetic stuff. Anyway, if my visiting mom started pointing out the obvious, I'd tell her to shut it. Number one, don't care. Number two, I know all the house's faults, see number one. Number three, I got my reasons for doing or not doing anything at all.

People should just keep this shit to themselves unless asked for an opinion.

Huh? I have a great relationship with my mom, and I would still be annoyed if she rearranged my furniture. (Which she would never do.) It's my house, and I've set it up the way I like. If I want advice or help, I can ask.

All guests - including family - should follow the rule "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
