? I thought it was interesting. |
Heh. How do you capitalize a sentence? How do you spell "nowadays?" If you're gonna throw stones... |
Please tell me you're kidding. He writes like he's the author of a cheesy paperback with a shirtless Fabio on the cover. No danger of winning a Pulitzer there . . . I hope this is one of those times that I just didn't pick up on sarcasm on the internet. |
I feel very bad for his kids. He not only cheated, but he handled it all so poorly. |
In case someone wants to know. According to a very important newspaper in Argentina, the woman is 43 years old, lives in a quiet (quiet...until yesterday) neighborhood of Buenos Aires City and works for an agropecuarian company.
Maybe Gov. Sanford thought Argentina didn't have reporters???? |
i was just questioning. english is not my first language and this forum doesn't deserve my effort to look into the dictionary or press shift along with the letter that should be capitalized. again, just asking ok? |
the name of the city is just BUENOS AIRES. the "city" part capitalized was your idea, right? |
Yes, it was my idea...maybe thinking how great is Buenos Aires. |
I am the pp who made the first post about his writing. On reflection, "beautifully" is definitely too strong a word. But he did write more romantically than I expected from a male politician. And don't forget -- I said he could write romance novels -- which just happen to be cheesy paperbacks with shirtless Fabios on the covers. So we don't disagree. ![]() |
I read the letters today. So sad. I could see where they might hold a sweet, school boyish appeal.... but then I would read a sentence and want to screetch, "What about your WIFE???? HELLO????
Dumb ass. |
And of course the people of the great state of South Carolina. [And I'm NOT being facetious/snarky calling it a "great state." It's just a descriptor.] |
Why I find this editorial absurd:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/06/25/bregman.sanford/index.html Yes, I am "outraged". Because of the hypocrisy. Specifically, his opposition to what I view as fundamental civil rights for people who view life and love and marriage differently than he does. Or should I say, differently than he CLAIMED to. I was disgusted with Bill Clinton, but not quite outraged. Because I didn't recall listening to Clinton hold himself out as a spiritual, faithful, arbiter of what is morally correct in marital/sexual realms. Clinton never struck me as holier than thou. I was disgusted with his stupidity. To have sex with a young girl, in the white house, while you are the President, and think you're not going to get caught? He had so much to lose and he risked it for such a stupid, cheap, sordid thrill. Dumb, dumb, dumb. But Sanford is worse than dumb. For a person to on the one hand be shaking their finger at gays, telling them they can't even adopt (never mind get married), to claim to be a soldier in defense of marriage, and then turn around and have an affair???? A faithful, committed gay couple where no one CHEATS is to me a healthier home to raise a child in. Think of Sanford's sons! |
Check out this article from Faux news:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/06/25/sanfords-mistress-identified-professional-passionate-beautiful-brunette/ Apparently the affair is OK, because Maria is a smart, athletic, passionate woman who speaks several languages. |
Oh give me a break - it wasn't mentioned that the affair was "OK" at all in that article. They were giving details about the woman. |
I always wonder what kind of mental/ outlook damage is done to the children in these highly publicized scandals(or at least to the point the kids cannot escape knowing the sordid details). Would they hate their father, both boys and girls? Would girls grow up to be mistrustful of all men?
Because I can remember being a young girl hearing about these kind of scandals in the news, always being about men of course cheating on their wives, and grew up pretty much assuming that's how all men are. I can't fathom how much harder it would hit the man's children in these cases. |
