Stop just saying "it's not my fault"... you are an agent in a terrible agreement that hurts other people and families. Own it, I don't care if you F married men but just own that it hurts people and it is most likely because you are a mess and need help. I have sympathy for OP... I have many friends like her ... all of them had terrible childhoods. It sucks! But acting like "I am not doing anything wrong" is ignorant.

It's a million times worse than the examples you provided. You're not just witnessing this horrible stuff, you are part of it, you're encouraging it. You might be part of ruining children's lives, making them feel (potentially) unwhole for the rest of their lives. The idea that it's not your fault to be with somebody who's married is so beyond disgusting.

I'm the OP. In a way, I feel like it's not my problem. I'm single, he's married. It's his life and issue, not mine. But deep down, I know it's wrong of me to do. It's f'd up, I know.

You also have the choice not to sleep with him or any married/committed man. Sure, you don't owe anything to the spouse, but you're still having sex with a married man - knowingly. Come on.

Op I think you don't believe you deserve better than being a side piece. Deep down you think you are worthless and all you can offer is sex in hopes of getting loved, AND you only offer it to men who cannot give love back to you because you don't believe you are worthy of the love of a good man. Could be daddy issues or sex abuse history or just someone convincing you as a child that you weren't worthy of unconditional love. Have you tried therapy to figure out why you don't feel deserving of honest love?

I slept with a married man once. He also was a friend, and it was absolutley amazing. I did not plan on it -- it was completely unexpected and spontaneous. However, despite my feelings and my urges for this person, I will not continue with my intentions knowing he is married. Sounds completely ridiculous but true. Sometimes morals get in the way -- and having a moral compass sucks, especially when you love sex. Seriously.
