How many tattoos do you have? Do you think tattoos look sleazy on women?

I am so so glad I made it out of college without getting one. 34 year old me thinks they are incredibly trashy and would be embarrassed if I had one.

And yes they look trashy, bad.....I a, hiring manager and I would never hire a woman who had one showing in interview.

And my daughter will b e forbidden to have any while she lives in my house or gets help from me for college.

And you are the reason HR is hated more than anything on the planet.

Love how the HR manager says this like she has all the power and as a Cautionary Tale. Women with tattoos all.over are shaking in their boots because the Biddy at Soil Suxking Corpt won't hire them.

And your daughter? Genius! Deny her bodily autonomy and education because of something you don't like. See how that works out for you.

I don't like the huge tattoos that cover entire body parts.

I don't have any tattoos, but I don't think they are generally trashy or sleazy looking on women or on men (well, OK, neck and face tattoos only work when worn by actual tattoo artists).

Cool at 21.
Not so cool anymore at age 51.

+1. I have two and am going through removal. I'm 40.

I have a small strand of DNA tattooed where no one (except my husband) can see it. Most of the time I forget I even have it.

I love to watch "Say Yes To The Dress", and nothing looks more stupid than the young woman in her beautiful wedding dress, with tattoos on her shoulders/back/arms.

Unfortunately, you see this too often in real life, also. (any outfit, not just wedding dresses). Stupid and sleazy.

A tattoo says to me that you are a person lacking in wisdom and good judgment. Tattoos are associated with the criminal class, with prostitutes, drug addicts, and other undesirables.

That you would want to associate with the filth of society speaks to me what is inside your heart, that you are foolish and untrustworthy.

Unless you cover them up you will not get hired, will not work for me. If by some chance you are working for me, I will see to it you do not participate in any task that requires morality such as handling large sums of money, for I assume you to be a criminal.

Tramp Stamp is an appropriate term. Don't brand yourself as a piece of garbage.

Face tattoos are pretty much associated with prison. Face tattoos are outside of socialital norms.

Please! I am not a fan of tattoos but the glaring problem with her statement is that it appears men with tattoos are fine and can be hired. HR woman seems to be an EEOC complaint in the making! She is a sexist bitch. Oh and a corporate tool but you already knew that since she identified herself as HR.

I don't have any tattoos but I have thought about getting one. I think there are some really gorgeous tattoos out there, and then there are some not so great ones. A beautifully done (and I am assuming very expensive) tattoo is very different from the kind of blurry ones.

Zero.

Yes.

I try to live and let live, but I always cringe when I see this.

Donald Rumsfeld was right about one thing. Some people need to be shot. He was speaking of you.
