Your general "you" certainly does not include me. May I suggest that general you to try a bit harder, and write a bit better? As shown in your latest post, it's perfectly possible. So, what's the fuss about? |

I really hated the quotation marks around correcting. True sarcasm can be delivered without unnecessary emphasis.
Work on your tone. |
| Grammar police you will meet karma one day like I did, all high and mighty and educated I was and so superior to all those they're/their/there and it's/its people and God/karma thought I could use some empathy so I now have two boys, both with dyslexia, and now I see the light and I will never again correct anyone who is just honestly trying to communicate the best they can. |
Up I will not give! |
No. We generally recognize typos, autocorrects and ESL speakers, but if you're too stupid, ignorant or lazy to make even a minimal effort to write comprehensibly then you've got it coming. |
No not you must ever! |
|
For those of you who do not like the grammar police comments just report them. They add nothing to the conversation and derail the topic.
I think I will start doing so because I find it obnoxious. |
So you are a tattle? No one likes you. |
Yes, flood Jeff with reports of people correcting grammar. This can only NOT be even more obnoxious than the people correcting the grammar.... |
Damned. The word is damned. |
Actually he encourages reporting posts that derail or add nothing to the topic. Especially when a topic is new because it sets a tone. Grammar nazis are not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts they are doing it to point and laugh and get a little jolly from it. |
He encourages people to report grammar police (nazi offends me)? |
He encourages reporting posts that derail the topic or add nothing to it but nastiness. As I stated. |

How many grammar postings are you actually wading through that this is a real problem for you?
I'd like to see an example of a thread where more than three posts interrupted your pleasant scroll from page to page to an extent that was truly horrible. Here's a tip - you don't need to read every post. At the first word that indicates the post is about grammar rather than the topic at hand, skip to the next one. |
