Possible Rape at Sidwell?

It's hard to imagine this can happen in a place being monitored by Secret Service Agents...how did they not notice??? This doesn't happen in an instant.

Yes, don't they roam the school and watch for everything.

Seriously? Unless the first daughters are involved, they arent all over the campus. I was there in the Chelsea era, and they stuck to her like glue.

Because all of the salacious gossiping serves no meaningful purpose other than mindlessly entertaining people on this thread who have nothing better to do than to speculate about 2 teenagers that they know nothing about.

Because all of the Sidwell parents and administrators don't want your dirty laundry in the street?

^SS is not all over the campus. Heck, they aren't even like glue to the daughters. I was on campus a few months ago, one of the daughters walked right by me, SS wasn't that close.

There are rarely details at the beginning of an investigation. I am sure the Washington Post will have more information once there is an investigation. You don't think it is important to know the facts?

Of course I do. But why is it important for you to comment now on something that you know nothing about. I know, why don't we wait until we get the facts?!

Why is it ever important to talk about local crime? Awareness. Rape is a serious issue in our community. It's really hard to prove, too.

Just like the heroine issue. Drinking and driving of teens. It's something we all need to worry about, talk about.

If the "victim" was in an underage relationship with the "perpetrator", yes, it's highly inappropriate and it's clear that neither student is really a fit for the school. The best thing is for the school to make a clean break. Good riddance to them.

Anonymous wrote:Welp that rejection letter we got from Sidwell doesn't sting as much anymore. Glad that I don't habe to deal with family and friends asking if that's the same school I'm sending my DD to!

Silver lining.

Guess you can say the same about Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Brown, Princeton, Dartmouth, Columbia etc.. Might not have any colleges to apply to.

Are they Quaker institutions?

Check out the catholic church.. no religious institution is immune

Or the popular Georgetown Rabbi, for that matter. I wonder how he's doing these days.

Not to mention that the Secret Service (SS is for Germans) has had its own issues with sexual misconduct.

I said it doesn't sting as much. When a school has a scandal of this magnitude it's a normal reaction to think along those lines. Rape can and does happen anywhere. Doesn't mean you aren't glad you aren't at the place it most recently happened.

Right about that.
