Awkward situation with getting back a lent jacket

Tell her you have a Christmas jacket that will look even better, and you'll throw in your Thanksgiving scarf and some Ash Wednesday earrings for the Lent jacket.

I also thought this had to do with easter. And with 16 years of catholic school under my belt, I was wondering why I'd never heard of a lent jacket.

Me too!
My first reaction was that I had been "one-upped" from someone that wasn't satisfied with just an Easter dress, and had to go and get a special Lent jacket.
I was realized I wasn't missing out on some Catholic fashion statement all these years!

Me, too! Started coming to mind by page 2.

Looking forward to your update, OP. Don't leave us hanging!

Please don't let it go. For us.

Is this real....??!

If so, March right up to the door and request that she return the item or you will call the authorities.

Any normal individual would see you aren't a pushover and hand it to you immediately!!

Next time, don't loan people something you really like!

This. Do this.

I was up all night. Is the Lent Jacket home? Is there an Amber Alert?

Yes dying to know and OP are you going to explain how they got their car back?
Anonymous
Good thought...hold their car ransom.

Maybe the lentee or others from the party read and obviously recognized the thread. Now OP is too embarrassed to come back.
