What size shoe does your 4th grader wear?

size 7 women's shoes at age 11 is pretty normal, not big feet at all. A lot of girls are done growing taller by 11.

No evidence.. just buy larger shoes..

There were just as many posts disputing that larger shoe sizes means taller people. The point of the post (for me, op) was to see if other parents of fourth graders were buying as many pairs of shoes for constantly growing feet, and it seems like yes. So we are buying shoes and it isn't cheap

My kids feet are size 8 and they are same size as mine CRA-ZAY

11 yo son in 5th grade is in size 4. He is one of the smaller boys in his class (though not the smallest). It's never bothered him that much though.

Not sure why you revived this 7-year-old thread, but it's not so wild. My kid is in 3rd grade and just turned 9. She wears a 1.5 or 2, but one of her BFFs is 9.5 years old and I noticed her shoes were bigger than mine. I only wear a 6.5, but BFF's were at least an 7.5-8. There's a really wide range.

Come on, you know that a 5'2" fourth grade is extremely tall Lucky girl!

Ah! My niece is 5’7” in 5th grade. She is the tallest kid in her school and she is not happy about it. Her parents are 6’ mom and 6’6” dad….

classmates??? Plural? Do more than one person thought it sensible to hold back a kid born wayyyyyy before the summer?

My 9yo DD in 4th grade wears mostly 5s, occasionally a 6 depending on the brand.

That kid will be over 6'. I guess my 10 yr old DS is short. He wears a youth size 4 now.

Does shoe size have anything to do with height? My mom wears 8.5 or 9 and she's 5'7". I'm size 7 shoes and 5'4".

NOPE. I'm a 5'6" adult female and wear a size 11. My 10 year-old daughter wears a size 8 women's. My 8 year-old daughter wears a size 4 kids.

Men’s size 7.5 (not youth), age 9

My almost 10yo 4th grade dd is a kids size 4/womens size 6. Her older sister is now a womens 8.5. I was a 7 pre-kids and about a 7.5 now so they’re both likely to end up with larger feet than mine. I’m 5’7 but should’ve been @5’9 (autoimmune disorder at puberty stopped my growth). Eldest is only 5’2 now but I expect hasn’t had her growth spurt yet.

DD wore size 8 woman in 4th grade and was 5’ tall. Two years later, she’s grown to 5’1 and still in size 8 shoes. That’s about my height but smaller than my feet.
