Wearing Stripper Heels to Costo / waterpark

Think about how slowly you'll have to walk to get your child if he/ she runs off. What if you fall while holding the baby?

I also saw another mom today at the water park with 5 inch heels. She was actually standing in about 2 inches of water with her baby while the were trying to reach the water coming from the fountain. Any heel near water is a troublesome situation, but I guess some women out there can't leave home without five inches between their foot and the ground.

Omg. Do we live in the same city. I'm not from Dc btw. Saw the same at Costco and wondered "what the?"

It's doable but can be dangerous. If you have kids like mine who decide that they want to be "uppy now! uppy now!" and dash into your arms when you least expect it, you realize how easy it is to twist an ankle. I hoped this post could help some women learn how unsteady you really can be when trying to run after your kid .

Do you think that women who wear high heels don't know what it's like to wear high heels?

+ 1. I find it silly that OP "feels bad" for them. OP- it seems like you are not comfortable in heels or are unsteady. Is that accurate?

I wear heels everywhere except the gym and the beach. I'm short and I hate not being in heels, it's just part of me feeling put together. I don't wear heels that hurt my feet and I've never fallen. Not even when holding an infant or running after toddler. Oddly enough, my feet actually hurt if I wear sneakers or flip flops too long.

But do you wear stripper heels?

I guess that would depend on your definition. I don't wear shoes with clear plastic heels. Lol. I usually wear 3" pumps to the office. Evenings, weekends and date nights are usually 4"inch heels.

Moron. Your feet are, quite literally, your base of support. Stop wearing them all the time unless you want big foot problems later.

You sound very bright! Report back in your 50s. Lets see what you think about heels then.

Really? Insulting my intelligence because of my choice in shoes? You must not have read the part of my post that says I don't wear uncomfortable shoes. If you get quality shoes that fit well, you can avoid a lot of issues.

BTW...my grandmother is 90 and still wears heels a few times a week. She seems to be doing just fine.

Enjoy your collection of Danskos.

wearing heels ALL the time does say something about your intelligence. reads bimbo to me.

You're cute. Hardly a bimbo, but whatever makes you feel good.

Since when are stilettos are any high heel 'stripper heels'? Stripper heels are clear and plastic. If you are going to judge at least have your terminology right.

what you witnessed is the increasing trend of HIGHLY unattractive, fat, old white men who can't get a woman in the US so they all go to Asia to find them. Those women, who are no older than 30 (max) and are usually really attractive seriously do not care how EF'ing ugly the guy is, in their eyes the guy is rich and American and will bring her to the US where she will have her anchor baby - there I said it - then after a few years she orchestrates exactly how she is going to take him for every single penny including the house, leaving him basically homeless and then she moves her whole family from Asia (China, Vietnam and the Philippines). She doesn't give a shit about the guy, he was old when she married him so he'll be dead in a few years.

This has happened to two people I know!

It was just funny that I saw three Asian women in the same store/same day, wearing stripper heels while out in public doing ordinary things. They all had 2-3 very young children and were all married to American white men.

All men except Asians prefer Asian women. Not all men are man enough to get one.

All men? BS

This man has rarely found an Asian woman attractive. It's one of those to each his own things. There have been Asian women that I have enjoyed a friendship with. But there are others from some regions that I have met that might have been quiet and even submissive back in their home nation but once they got married to an American, wow, talk about shrill. Of course most of the soldiers that married Asian women that I have met weren't much to write home about and had issues. Again, the visual doesn't do it for me most of the time and I have known some wonderful Asian women.

Now back to the all men, bs.

Yup. It's sad to say. But a man having a (non American) Asian wife is basically a mark that he is a big, fat (literally) loser, that no one else wanted so he had to pay an inordinate amount of money just to not be alone.

The only appropriate reaction is pity- for both him and the poor lady stuck with him (for the time being, at least).

While I have known some genuine and successful marriages I have seen what you describe happen quite a few times with military men. Go to Korea or Okinawa, divorced and a few years from hitting the 20. Marries a woman from there, new children come quickly and within 5 years it's either a house big enough for her family or she leaves with the kids and gets the child support.

Your husband could think about what it says about himself that he uses the term "white trash".

He was born in Europe.

Umm you guys are so mean. All the couples were evenly matched. Very average looking.

I don't think I would ever wear heels to the water park. Generally, I like to play with my child and run after him and climb with him. I can't see doing that comfortably in heels. It just seems silly. And if I saw someone in heels like these pics at the playground I would probably have a hard time not laughing. Just me.

Would only be a sanctimommy if OP also wore stripper heels. Something tells me that's not the case.
