Do you still want to be married to him? |
OP, I suppose you would be pleased if things were like this:
Keep dreaming. |

Please stop feeding this troll. The reality is that women are not the source of "the problem." The reality is that women and feminists are not "emasculating" men.
The reality is--most certainly--that men are having a harder economic time of things, these days. And men are having a harder time helping to support and raise their families (e.g., acquiring health care--though that's improved somewhat; wages stagnant; homeownership is going down; childcare costs are through the roof; vacation time is squeezed; in some cases multiple jobs--whether that's one person having more than one job, or both parents having a total of two or more jobs; saving are down; total assets and wealth are down; entrepreneurship is down and much more risky). People, there IS a serious problem in this country. But it is NOT that the feminists are trying to take things away from men. This author and the yahoos posting all kind of garbage about women and feminists especially emasculating (whatever that is) men really need to take a moment to consider the reality of what's going on. Don't take it out on the man-hating women. That's the wrong way to characterize your victimhood. Are you the victim of something? Yeah, I'd say probably you are. But look again at what's going on. Women need to get into the job market to help raise your/their/our kids, finance the house and vacations and leisure time (women have always wanted job and career options). Child care is expensive--who stays home if work isn't a financially viable option? Sometimes it's the man. Reality is what it is. Two parents working, the house is a mess, kids need a bath, dinner's not ready--who does it? Hey, that stuff has to be shared or you'll both burn out. Kids need snuggles, love, advice, support, clean laundry, a packed lunch, carpooling -- if you want to be a dad, then sign up for the full monte. I'm going to tell you "emasculated, victimized men," working women and feminists are on your side. ON YOUR FRIGGIN' SIDE. Hold hands and let's do it together. |
Totally agree. Duly chastised- I will stop feeding the MRA troll now... |
That's pretty funny that guys think (Latinas/Asian women) are actually submissive. |

Man Down? Love that song!
Great message too. Almost as good as BBHMM |

The problem with this discussion is that it fails to distinguish between privileged men and working-class men.
Working-class men are absolutely being destroyed in this country. Upper-middle class and wealthy, elite men still rule the world. |
+1 |
What's a good solution, in your view? |
Seriously. Latina here and that's not a word I would use to describe myself and the women in my family. |
I think that's a lovely list. I think both partners would do well to treat their spouses with such attention and care. No? |

A recent FB post from a former Secretary of Labor:
"Worker pay is rising at the slowest pace ever recorded. But it's worse than that because the new data include everyone who's paid -- including top CEOs and Wall Street moguls. The fact is, most people's pay is stagnant or dropping when adjusted for the costs of living, including rents that are going through the stratosphere. Conservative Republicans like this. They've long said that Americans are living beyond their means and that the best way to revive the economy is for pay to drop. That's why they don't want to raise the minimum wage, why they advocate so-called "right-to-work" laws that destroy unions, why they're in favor of outsourcing jobs abroad through "free trade" policies like the Trans Pacific Partnership, and why they're happy for companies to shift from hiring people full time to relying on independent contractors and part-time workers. But Republicans have it completely backwards. When pay stagnates or declines, people don't have the money to buy beyond necessities -- which causes the economy to slow, as it's been doing (the latest report showed the U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of 2.3 percent in the latest quarter, but the Commerce Department also marked down its growth numbers for prior years). Add to this the record share of workers who don't know how much they'll earn from week to week or even from day to day, because of the increasing reliance on part-time and independent contract work. That uncertainty is also holding back spending, which, in turn, retards the economy. Repeat after me: Higher wages for middle and low-income workers are good for the economy. Lower wages are bad." Well, that's one man's take on it. Though some extremists here might characterize him as emasculated since he was a "secretary" and of "labor." |

Here. You can listen to a talk here. It's long, but it's accessible to even people who read The Blaze bullshit.

Sounds quiet with both parties waiting patiently for the other to speak first. And you would quickly become obese with each spouse making an elabroate dinner each night.... |
