+1

I was going to say the same. There is some connection between the effects of dragon glass and the effects of dragon fire.

That was the shocking discovery: Valerian Steel also kills them. Dun dun DUNNNN!

it also could be just that there is something special about jon snow?

Yes, most readers are aware of the theories about him that may also connect to his adeptness with Valyrian steel.

I did. Tyrion doesn't die so I assume they end up getting out. I guess because she's the Queen and that's all that matter. I did think the dragon wasn't going to live.

I thought so too. It was a more desperate situation in the books and it didn't seem so much like she was willfully abandoning them like it did in the show.

Ugh I know! I did read somewhere (but can't recall where now) that GRRM confirmed that Shirreen would be sacrificed in a later book. I wonder how many of the changes are total diversions vs. future book spoilers.

I'm reading book 5 now and am ok with some of the changes- if the TV series was moving at the glacial pace of books 4 and 5 it would take forever. And what else were the TV producers supposed to do with Sansa's character exactly? Her book or ran out at the end of series 4.

quoted PP here. Sansa's storyline is much better in the show actually. We finally see her beginning to come into her own.

Sad about Shireen. I knew it was coming once Stannis inexplicably sent Davos away.

I guess. Also, that Melisandre's really starting to p*** me off. She's almost as bad as Joffrey.

Agree. I've never liked her, even in the books.

I think she's the most attractive woman in GoT - would definitely put "king's blood" in her.

His sword is Valyrian Steel. There are only a few Valyrian steel swords left in the world, since none have been made since the Doom of Valyria (and nobody knows how to make it anymore.) It's harder and sharper than normal steel and is rumored to have been forged with magic spells. I don't think anyone knew that Valyrian Steel could kill a white walker until Jon actually did it. Valyrian steel did not exist 8000 years ago, the last time the White Walkers showed up in Westeros. The White Walker was pretty surprised when the sword didn't shatter.

So White Walker weapons out there right now:

Jon Snow - longclaw
Brienne of Tarth - Oathkeeper
Tonmen - Widow's Wail
Peter the Pimp - dagger

I don't think he was, at least not on screen.

Yes, you have mentioned that before. I don't get it, but I'm a girl. DH seems to think Cersei is hot. I can see that.

So when they broke in there, they were only after Loras' lover and other officials?

Okay, looks like he's just scheming in the background for now (read summary toward the end): http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Petyr_Baelish

Uh sure but Lancel brought the Sparrows to the brothel as he knows the whole inner workings. Certainly he would be after its owner. How can Bailish even function in this environment is beyond me..
