Forgot two: DH used to work at a club in Sydney (knew the owners) where Russell Crow would hang out after hours. Said he was OK; a little rough around the edges and bossy when drunk. DH's friend lived in the same building as Hugh Jackman, who is very tall, very pleasant and super handsome in person.

Dan Akroyd chatted with my DH and his friend in a NY nightclub. He was down-to-earth and friendly.

+ 1 had the same experience meeting him

+2. He was playing the "Do you know so-and-so" game, trying to find people we had in common. I kept thinking that my turn at conversation with him was over but he kept talking. I was shaking for an hour after I spoke with him. And, yes, he is tall, at least compared to my 5'8" self. I met Hillary too, not the same time. She was also very friendly and chatty but didn't have the same aura. I certainly wasn't shaking with nerves after I met her. I'm a Republican FWIW.

My sister hung out with Woody Harrelson in a bar in Boston back in 1998ish. The night ended with them making out in his limo.

She said he was short, had bad breath, was a sloppy drunk and thought he was funnier than he was. But she still made out with him.

I met Bill Clinton in 1998 after my high school had a school shooting. He was very nice and shook every students hand and posed for pictures with all 1,200 of us. He also met individually with every kid and their family that got shot and met with the families who's children died. Such a wonderful man.

I am friends with the girl who famously put her experience with Quentin Tarantino and his chode on the internet.

Not her finest moment.

Bill Nye the Science Guy is a complete jerk.

Katie Couric is tiny and beautiful. I saw her in the Atlanta airport during the 96 Olympics. She clearly did not want to be talked to.

Bruno Mars is weird looking in real life.

Saw Boris Kodjoe and his wife on a cruise. Very normal couple, except impossibly gorgeous.

I met Nichelle Nichols. She was beautiful and gracious.

She's not super famous but I met Leeann Tweeden a few years ago. She was super nice and so beautiful. She actually looks better in person.

Robin Williams is[u] very reserved and shy in person

Peggy Fox is very genuine

Bea Arthur was very down to earth and hysterically funny

Jimmy Connors was very nice too. His car broke down after a tennis match (this was in the 70's) and my dad fixed it for him. We still have the hubcap he signed as a thank you

Another friend worked with Angelina Jolie on an African aid project, and said she was "the real deal." He works in international development for a living, and was really impressed with her.

Alan Rickman was a dick. Billy Joel and Ethan Hawke were both really nice and unassuming.

pre Harry potter I was at a dinner party with Alan Rickman, total dick- also I had no idea who he was.

I'm the say it isn't so poster. Can you share what he did that was dickish? Total bummer - I hoped he wouldn't be that way.

Me, too! I have never had that experience before or after I met him in 1992 in New Hampshire.

Did we go to college together?

Maybe -- did you ride a bus all the way from the Midwest to NH to campaign door to door for him? Which meant I was quite an unshowered mess when I met Bill Clinton!
