Kissed someone, not my DH

I can certainly make myself feel sexy and enjoy attention from someone else without ending up with a dick in my mouth. Good god.

Heels, lipstick, etc. I was getting hit on by this guy, we were having all the laughs, and I decided to leave. And out of the blue, obviously fuels by drinks, I leaned over and kissed him on the mouth! And then promptly ran away and into a cab.

In the light of day, I'm half horrified and half sort of find it funny. But mostly horrified. What level of awful is this?

For what it's worth, I'm 30, w DH for eight years, married for four. It's v out of the blue for me, which is why I find it both baffling and funny and upsetting.

Alcohol lowers inhibitions...there was obviously some small desire...but I would bet without the alcohol that would have been kept in check. Let it go.

Get over it and feel good for her! She is putting some sugar in her life.

Doesn't sound too egregious, but better for you to not drink much without your husband.

You don't dress that way when you're going to see your mom & dad. You don't dress that way when you're going to hang out with a friend and watch movies.

So it's not just basic hygiene and it's not just wanting to look nice for your self. It's wanting, on some level, the sexual attention of men. You can see from the posts that there is a continuum of what outside sexual attention people find consistent with a non-open marriage. Some don't think seeking any such attention is ok. Some think wanting to get looked at and maybe complimented is ok because it makes you feel good. Some seem to think kissing strangers is fine.

You should talk to your spouse and establish agreed upon boundaries for your relationship.

Bingo!

OP was wanting to look attractive to the guy. The liquor may have merely added fuel to the fire but the cinders were already there.

She's married. The "sugar" isn't supposed to come from some random stranger in a bar.
