Also, for the breath, try a tongue scraper.

Also will add that hand sanitizer is contributing to the creation of superbugs and good old fashioned hand washing for 30 seconds does the trick.

Plus it's just plain stupid to put hand sanitizer on freshly washed hands. That would bother me most, the fact that it doesn't make any sense at all.

He should dump OP just for the eye rolling.

Some things you do are a little weird but it's no big deal if you want super clean hands or chew on gum... Yes,see a dentist, no one wants to kiss stink breath. And getting food out of your teeth? I normally wait until leaving the restaurant and get a tooth pick. Lipgloss is perfectly fine, although, I normally put on lipstick before leaving my house and only re-applying in the restroom to make sure it goes on clean and neat. Not sure of your age, but I'm 23 and this is my opinion.

Exactly! That eye roll is the look she gets when put hand sanitizer on after washing her hands.

We currently are having a debate over something which may seem minor in theory, but he won't let go.

I have decided if I am right, to let him go....No worries, we have only been dating for six weeks so it's not like I will be crying into a pint of Ben & Jerry's soon.

Okay, I like to use hand sanitizer after washing my hands, he thinks it is very weird and unusual to do so and thinks only one or the other is necessary. I like to do both because it just feels cleaner.

Secondly, I have bad breath a lot ((!)) and prefer to chew gum after I brush my teeth. Perhaps for extra insurance against my bad breath. He says this is very uncommon and that it is just weird to chew gum immediately after brushing my teeth.

Finally, when we eat out (not high end places...More like a Denny's-type place), sometimes when I am talking I can tell I have spinach or something else stuck in my teeth and get self-conscious over it. So I use my fingernail and rub my teeth a little bit to get the food out. He told me this is just bad table manners and grosses everyone out. He said the proper thing to do is leave the table, get a toothpick and go to the restroom and take it out there. I also like to put on lip gloss at the table occasionally and he says that is unacceptable too.

What say all of you??

He is right. Picking your teeth at the table is a disgusting thing to do and horrible manners.

Putting lip gloss on at the table is not as bad, but still, bad manners.

You need to see a dentist about your chronic bad breath.

But yes, leave this guy. Bad fit.

Ew.

Manners are not something you pull out at high-end dining establishments. Good manners get used no matter the venue.

No. Not it is not.

It is not possible to "discretely" pick your teeth. If you think you are being discrete, you are wrong.

Yeah he's right on all.

For your bad breath you need to investigate. It's a sign that something is wrong. Acid reflux, tonsil stones (most likely), rotting under crowns, etc.

I am a mother of a young infant, after changing a dirty diaper, I always sanitize after soap and water. Your hands can never be too clean when it comes to germs. Insurance.

And as long as you have a compact mirror in your purse (not some full-sized hand held one), it is perfectly acceptable to powder your nose and/or touch up your lipstick/gloss.

Women have been doing this for many years. Don't believe me? Watch any old black and white film and you will see.
