And as long as you have a compact mirror in your purse (not some full-sized hand held one), it is perfectly acceptable to powder your nose and/or touch up your lipstick/gloss.

Women have been doing this for many years. Don't believe me? Watch any old black and white film and you will see.

Good luck when the next pandemic flu comes around. Dead.

Do any of you bother to read the whole thread?

She's a troll, y'all. Stop feeding her.

OP Here:

Thank you for all your insight/advice on this.

The bottom line here is that I do have some annoying habits, I admit. I am a flawed human being just like everyone else.

We are still early on in our dating + he is already telling me to stop picking at my teeth at the table. Sure, I may be grossing him out or annoying him or....?? But the principle here is that NO ONE has the right to call another person out on something they do. He thinks he has a right to tell me he thinks it is strange that I like to chew gum after brushing my teeth or that I shouldn't be using sanitizer on my hands since I just washed them!

Who does that in the initial stages of dating?? No one who wants to be taken seriously.

I called things off w/him. My reasoning? If I want to date my father, I would.

He cared enough to point it out. Most men would've just gone home and never returned a call. Because they figure 40 somethings know better than to pick their teeth at the table. Spend time fixing your disgusting/stupid habits instead of defending them.

We currently are having a debate over something which may seem minor in theory, but he won't let go.

I have decided if I am right, to let him go....No worries, we have only been dating for six weeks so it's not like I will be crying into a pint of Ben & Jerry's soon.

Okay, I like to use hand sanitizer after washing my hands, he thinks it is very weird and unusual to do so and thinks only one or the other is necessary. I like to do both because it just feels cleaner.

Secondly, I have bad breath a lot ((!)) and prefer to chew gum after I brush my teeth. Perhaps for extra insurance against my bad breath. He says this is very uncommon and that it is just weird to chew gum immediately after brushing my teeth.

Finally, when we eat out (not high end places...More like a Denny's-type place), sometimes when I am talking I can tell I have spinach or something else stuck in my teeth and get self-conscious over it. So I use my fingernail and rub my teeth a little bit to get the food out. He told me this is just bad table manners and grosses everyone out. He said the proper thing to do is leave the table, get a toothpick and go to the restroom and take it out there. I also like to put on lip gloss at the table occasionally and he says that is unacceptable too.

What say all of you??

Haha OP we should date.

I do 1 as well all the tim.

I do 2 sometimes but don't think it is weird.

And 3 doesn't bother me as I do that sometimes as well.
