I'm the OP of the "famous" my boyfriend is missing post- AMA!

2. Shouldn't someone your age be out having fun, not sitting at your computer?

Op here: 1) no 2) it's 8:45pm on a Wednesday night. I'm not sure what I should be doing? Going out clubbing or doing shots at the bar? No.
I've never been into going out during the work week and getting wasted.

When I was your age, I didn't know about DCUM. And even if I had, there was no way that I would have spent the amount of time reading and responding to threads that you have. I would be at happy hours, dinners, networking events, and meeting new guys in real life!

Are you already on Tinder, OKcupid, match.com or christianmingle looking for your next "long distance" relationship?

Why were you constantly posting online about the issue with Bobcat man rather than turning to your real life friends and family for help and support?
Anonymous
OP, you sound sad. You should get out and meet some real people to talk to.

OP, your 15 minutes of internet fame are over.

I think OP seems like a nice, social, but awkward person who's still figuring out who she is. I'm glad she posted the AMA. I find the whole thing amusing.

OP, why do you keep responding to him!?!?

Op, you seem nice but incredibly naive and far too trusting. You should NEVER give your number to someone you've met online before yoU even know what state they are in! Please do some work on yourself before you end up trusting the wrong guy and your parents are the ones calling the cops because they can't locate you.

Thanks for checking in OP. I wish you well.

Set a higher bar next time ok?

Thx for letting us all go along for the ride!

I am truly perplexed about what led you to conclude she is "social." The fact that she says she no longer socializes with her family? The fact that she kept posting on this anonymous website about her boyfriend issue rather than confiding in friends?

Op here; if you had read the full post, you would have known that I was in fact talking to friends about it.

OP here: Why would that be? I know plenty of people from here that vacation in the Vineyard. My family has had a house in Edgartown since I was in 9th grade and before that, we always just rented a house on the isand. What you are saying makes no sense at all.

OP is definitely a troll (although I held out hope for a long time)- someone who regularly vacations on Martha's Vineyard would not refer to it as "in the Vineyard."

I guess I mean she is looking for company/interaction but doesn't know how to to it effectively in real life, which is what makes her seek it out in cyberspace.

Op here: I did not say that I didn't know what state he lived in. I said that I didn't realize how far away he actually was. There are parts of New York that are 2 hours from me, I didn't know he was 4 hours away in New York.

Also, I have many friends who have online dated and they all started out by messaging back and forth and then exchanging numbers before they actually met.

Op here: hahaha wait WHAT? When did I say that I don't socialize with my family? I said that I'm 26 so I don't go out to the yacht club or beach club with them every weekend anymore. I still go over to my families house for Sunday night dinner and occasionally go visit during the week. I don't know many people my age who go and socialize with their parents all the time.....

Op here: oh SO SORRY that I accidentally wrote "in" instead of "on". I have never in my life said "I'm going to be on Martha's Vineyard for the week in July!" I have always said "I'm going to be on The Vineyard....".
