2 kids, 5 and 9, public school, $425 for aftercare. When we had two in daycare/full day preschool it was very tight. I know a lot of families with only children, it is very expensive to have multiples in DC. |

| 220k I never felt poor until I started reading this forum. Kids are 7 and 10. We spend 12k per year pt babysitter, 12k parochial, 5k on summer camps so approximately 29k total. |

2 kids, 2 and 4. Daycare $2500/ month We'd like a third but probably won't have one. |
| ~180K, two boys in HS. It doesn't get cheaper as they grow older. No daycare costs instead: school trips, summer stuff, saving for college, braces, they eat a TON, driver's insurance (!!! - girls and boys are now equally expensive because of texting). |
No she isn't. You are just rude. |
| 280K, 3 kids - 8, 5, 3. Daycare runs 2500 a month. Mortgage is 4000. Ug.... |
Our figures just flipped. Mortgage is $2500, nanny is $4000 |

e Hey this is about to be my situation when our twins are born later this year. Our HHI and aycare costs are almost identical to yours. If you'r still reading, what is your mortgage? Budget? I'm very nervous about how we're going to manage. How strapped do you feel? |
| HHI is $330. Kids are ages 1 and 3. Daycare costs $3,800 a month and our mortgage (incl ins and taxes) is $3,400 a month. |
