2 kids - ages 1 and 3 We spend about $42,000 on daycare and preschool. That is a bit more than we pay per year on mortgage (including ins and taxes). |

I'll add ours, this was interesting to read... I'm a SAHM, hhi of 160k but closer to 200k with overtime, bonuses, etc.... DH works 80 hour weeks, no childcare help= no childcare costs. But rent is high at $3300/ month. Have a 4yo and 1yo, next year 4yo will be in public school,
