LAMB Lottery

This was me last year. And then I saw Montessori in action. What a fantastic bonus. Now that I'm vested, I've done the homework and couldn't be happier and more satisfied that my DC is receiving hands-down the best education at LAMB. Also, the testing is unnatural for all small children at the early childhood level. Montessori isn't the worse for it. Still, the kids adjust and are doing fine.

What time is the lottery today? Is it public?

Funny how the LAMB dissers don't have kids who attend the school. Have you noticed that LAMB parents on here never have negative things to say about the school? Food for thought.

Unless they've changed, it's a post card.

My husband went. He said there were 870 applicants for 11 slots. We're in the 140s on the wait list--oh well, was worth a shot.

PK3 or PK4?
Did they do by computer?
Thx!

Omg -11 spots only!!! So sad...

Assume 11 was for PK3 for non-sibs?

Only 11 spots for non-sibs, PK3, down from the originally 35-40 planned. They decided to not open an additional class to make space for the higher grades (less attrition expected due to DCI).

Anybody knows how far into their wait list they went last year? I have a high fifties wait list number...

I know someone who got into the NE campus in the low 100s last year. I think the NW campus is only possible if you get in during the intitial lottery.
