Tell me what you eat for lunch at work

I have these: http://www.amazon.com/EasyLunchboxes-3-compartment-Containers-BPA-Free-Easy-Open/dp/B004UIRUJ2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1394562778&sr=8-2&keywords=lunch+box

The big compartment usually has either some leftovers (depending on what we had) or cut up veggies (peppers, carrots, cucumber, broccoli, etc.). The smallest compartment has a hard-boiled egg. The medium compartment has some fruit.

In the morning, I have 0.5-1c of Greek yogurt with banana and honey and a cup of black coffee. I can't find a link to the container I use for that. I am kind of annoyed with the amount of tupperware I am carrying to/from work and washing every day, but it's better than blowing $10-15 on lunch out every day and eating a zillion calories.

I eat out every day. Sometimes subway, sometimes a salad, sometimes Chinese. All over the map.

I never have time to pack lunch. I typically get a salad from the salad bar at my work cafeteria.

A skinny vanilla latte from starbucks.

Either a small spinach salad or soup.

20:42 and 7:04, I would be seriously starving. I am envious.

Right now, frozen meals supplemented with fruit and cut-up veggies. It's a bit of a sodium-filled rut, but it also doesn't spoil like sandwich materials do if we have a snow day, sick day, etc.

If money was no object, I would go to Sweet Greens every day.

Don't you feel hungry before dinner?

No because I eat several small meals. For example, today I had plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 cup homemade granola around 7, a clementine around 10, kind bar and water at 12:30, some almonds and half an apple around 3:30 and for dinner at 7 I had salad and a small steak. I don't feel well if I eat a lot at one time, I feel better when I space it out.

Exhibit 1, eating disorder. Those are snacks, not small meals, except perhaps the dinner depending on its size. But if the steak was clementine sized, it was a snack too.

+1. That's like 800 calories. Unless you are an oompa loompa, that [u]is not nearly enough.

I don't know why, but this really cracked me up.

I normally do leftovers to save money and calories. At least half of the things I make create leftovers.

I freeze extra soup and chili in single serving containers to grab when we don't have leftovers.

When I feel energetic enough, and there are no leftovers, I might make a salad (or make a salad and use cold chicken from the night before).

I find packing lunch to take up far less time than going out. With leftovers, I just pack my lunch as I clean up dinner.

Yesterday I had leftover brisket and a couple boiled small yellow potatoes and cucumbers. Today I had leftover veggie curry. Monday I went out and had a kale salad.

Right now I have some cheese, olives, and crackers at the office. I might bring in a hard-boiled egg or two as well.
Sometimes I make a big pasta salad and take some of that with cheese or something on the side each day.
Sometimes just chips, salsa, and cheese.

I make one meal each week that I can bring in as leftovers. This week- chicken/veggie stir fry. Other times I've made black beans and rice, soups, veggie lasagna, big deconstructed salad that I assemble in the office. I work out on my lunch hour on most days, so I need a ready to go lunch i can eat at my desk.

I go to the grocery store once a week and buy the following to keep at work: yogurt, crackers, goat cheese, almonds, apples, bananas, soup. I supplement with dinner leftovers.

I love to snack and hate sandwiches. Having some variety to choose from helps, as I am fickle about what I want, sometimes the leftovers aren't a full portion, etc.

7:04 spinach salad here. I put a fair bit of fat and protein on top of the spinach - hard boiled egg, cheese, nuts, and tuna or salmon, plus other veg and oil/vinegar. As long as I focus on the protein and fats and avoid the refined carbs, I'm good.
