Ok, I don't care that Christie is fat or temperamental or whatever, but could someone please explain his appeal, other than he is a Republican who is not completely and totally batshit and behind the times? Since when is that laudable? I also recall reading an article about him refusing to build some bridge after the federal government had pledged to pay for half and wasting billions of dollars that NJ had already invested, in the name of fiscal responsibility. Also not laudable.

NP, but look. Chris Christie isn't merely overweight - he's as big, if not bigger than what TWO combined healthy people should weigh. I don't want any of my friends to die from morbid obesity, but having a president of the United States weigh 2x what he ought to, is troubling. This isn't like having someone as POTUS who's 20-30 lbs overweight.

Didn't Obama quit a few years ago? Also' 'Hussein' is not a "Muslim" middle name. It's an Arabic word meaning 'good' or 'handsome.'

Also, what does BO being black or mixed have anything to do with it? Being morbidly obese is not merely about aesthetics - it can cause very serious health problems. Being black or biracial is not a health risk.

Were any other people present interviewed? Was Chris Christie asked about this incident? I have a hard time believing a story when it is presented from such a one-sided view. This smells like a bit of propaganda to me......And, I am a teacher.
