Or the community organizer.

Check out his speech. You can see the pounds melting off of his face.

He had the lap band gastro surgery.

I am glad for his own health that he took this measure to try to lose weight. Kudos to him on that.

Realism doesn't = bullying.

Taft.

Or the community organizer.

That community organizer was instrumental in turning the economy into a freefall. How do I know, I compare my 401k of 2013 to 2009.

In 2008 the dow was sinking and we were hemorraging jobs. Today, companies are hiring and the dow is steadily rising.

In 2008 we were fighting two wars sending billions of dollars to both Iraq and Afghanistan. 2013 we have ended one war and winding down on the other. Thus, we are only sending billions of dollars to one country.
In 2008, millions of sick Americans who were not fortunate enough to have employer sponsored health insurance utilize the emergency rooms as their primary doctor. In 2014, those same Americans can get health insurance coverage and see a primary doctor before they become too ill and far more expensive to treat.

In 2008, gay americans could not marry. In 2013 they can marry and now join the millions in paying the marriage penalty tax to Uncle Sam. In 2008, men and women who fought in Iraq and Afganistan, or stood on the fence in the dead of winter in Korea, etc. could not kiss their same-sex love. Now, without fear of condemnation or expulsion from the military they are free to kill someone on the behalf of you PP, a US citizen, and still be free and open about the sexual orientation.

In 2008, GM was bankrupt and millions of people on the verge of uneumployment throughout the rust blelt. Not in 2010.

He was a damn good organizer one must admity. HOORAY!!

so all your friends are skinny? you pass judgement based on how fat they are?

NP, but look. Chris Christie isn't merely overweight - he's as big, if not bigger than what TWO combined healthy people should weigh. I don't want any of my friends to die from morbid obesity, but having a president of the United States weigh 2x what he ought to, is troubling. This isn't like having someone as POTUS who's 20-30 lbs overweight.

Obama smokes, and we elected him. Oh, and he's black with a muslim middle name.

Anonymous wrote:How could he not have lost more weight by now, a year after surgery? A dark suit doesn't flatter me either, but he looked huge in his speech last night. Looks like he has well over 100#s to go. In fact, I didn't notice that he'd lost any weight at all. Agree with others that he's too heavy to be voted president.

he's middle of the road, not too left not too right…I would vote for the next middle of the road president be they republican or democrat...
Anonymous
Again, you only think he's middle of the road. He's far to the right. That's what five years of watching absolutely batshit crazy republicans does - make far right guys like Christie and McCain look like fencesitters.
Anonymous
He comes across as likeable at times, but he also seems like as bully. Look how he reacted when a teacher asked him a question at a recent rally:

Didn't Obama quit a few years ago? Also' 'Hussein' is not a "Muslim" middle name. It's an Arabic word meaning 'good' or 'handsome.'

Also, what does BO being black or mixed have anything to do with it? Being morbidly obese is not merely about aesthetics - it can cause very serious health problems. Being black or biracial is not a health risk.

obama doesn't smoke anymore (AFAIK), his mother was a white woman, he's not a muslim, he was born on US soil and he's in great shape.

YOUR ignorance is showing. I was merely pointing out that most political pundits would tell you that people are going to have serious health concerns about a man who is morbidly obese. I'm pretty sure John McCain's health was called into question on multiple occasions...because he's old, and no one actually wanted Sarah to be president.

His temper will get him, not his weight. The recent photo of him wagging his finger in the teacher's face while yelling at her is really telling:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2013/11/03/gov-chris-christie-yells-at-a-teacher-again/

A few more of these I'm-a-nasty-bully-and-like-to-scream-at-people incidents--and they seem to be inevitable--and reasonable people may lose confidence that he can be diplomatic and presidential. (I would never vote for him anyway because of his stand on social issues.)

Maybe he really thinks women don't deserve reproductive rights. Maybe he really doesn't believe in marriage equality. I'm straight, but I come from mixed parents who got married just 3 years after Loving v. Virginia. I'm also female. I just could not ever vote for someone who doesn't support the essential values of citizen equality, and the right to have dominion over my very own body.

I'm with you. He's not the liberal or moderate republican that some democrats think he is. He just dislikes the extreme right as most sane people do. Therefore he's less scary.

He is big and fat and sweaty and he has a bad temper and is conservative on social issues. He has zero sex appeal and probably has not seen his private parts any where but in a mirror in decades.
