| Haverford has a lot of private school grads (mostly Friends schools), but it's Quaker and has no frats. How is it making the cut? It's WASPy, yes, but in a very crunchy way. |
No Greek scene on Amherst's campus. Possibly at UMass, I noticed a few frat houses while visiting DC. Go Jeffs! |
| Amherst ditched the frats over 20 years ago. UMass has frats, but they only matter to the people they matter to. There's a strong crunchy scene as well as an outdoor club at UMass too. |
I thought Trinity was shutting down greek life? |
| Everyone should shut down Greek life. Then they can go to college and make friends like grownups. |
They were talking about it but there has been an outcry from alumni. Feats suck. |
+1 |
| University of Richmond is super preppy. |
| Why do you think Greek life and preppy are one in the same? This is not the case! Just because a school is preppy does not mean it has an active Greek life and vice versa. |
| Hobart & William Smith |
Boston College is Catholic preppy. |
The OPs daughter wants both. That's why people are commenting on both. |
Yes, I've heard Miami of Ohio is really preppy |
| What is preppy? |
High quotient of kids from private schools, preferably boarding schools or at least something with "Country Day" in the title. Parochial schools don't count unless Episcopalian. |
