what is wrong with HGTV?

I fantasize about Mike Holmes coming into my house and doing some in-depth inspection work on me, in my bedroom. Rarhhh!

I'd make him wear his toolbelt and say contracting things to me.

Mike Aubrey. One of the best real estate gurus on TV.

Yes, thanks for reminding me of his last name. I wish they would bring him and the show back (isn't that how Sabrina got her start?).

Loved this show? What happened to it? Was it too realistic -- some of the circumstances were pretty sad.

Just Googled him. His website says his new show "Power Brokers" will be on HGTV in 2013. I'll be looking for it....

Ha-I love this. When we were in the midst of our renovation, I actually looked into how to get on his show.

Do the denim overalls do it for you, pp?

There was another great home show, "Property Ladder," that I think was on TLC. I've looked for it since but haven't seen it in awhile.

I like the kitchen cousin who looks like a hunkier, more built, straight George clooney. The property bros were squished in utero and their faces haven't recovered.

You need to watch Steven and Chris. 2 gay Canadians doing a home decorating, crafting, fashion variety show. It's awesome. We don't have cable so watch it on one of some random channel on over the air TV.

He did. It was called "Dress My Nest" on StyleNetwork. Based the design on the person's favorite outfit--blah.

Shows are getting bad ., no one wants to cook so fast that they can't do justice to make a good meal, Cut throat kitchen is the worst new show on let me ask you do you cook in your kitchen with your pots and pans upside down. Or do you have some good knives . Oh I always use a tiny plastic one , you've got to be kidding, alton I'm disappointed in you

I like watching house hunters and seeing how other places have new nice homes for a fraction of dc costs.

I HATE how with new home buyers, they always encourage them to bid up houses. Because it really doesn't add much to the home price. Just walk away people! Don't pay more than you should! Not too many markets keep going up forever (Yah, I know some of our markets do, but that's not where these people are)

So much of the styling on these shows is the same. I would like to see some more design ideas that are inventive and interesting.

The guys on Property Brothers give me the creeps. They're way too done up. I bet they spend more time on hair and makeup than anyone I know.

Wrong channel. Though I agree with you regarding Cutthroat Kitchen.
