Can you read? OP bought them at Saks and wants to return at NORDTROM. That's not an even exchange. I really hope you can understand now. |
She wants to EXCHANGE them at Nordstrom. Which is what makes it an even EXCHANGE. |
What OP needs is some mystery cousins in New Jersey, they'd handle this for her. God Bless. |
| No, no, no. You're not getting it. Mystery cousins in NYC (wherever) are "hit and run" only. As in, have a nuisance neighbor? Say buh-bye. |
| Wow- people continue to shock me. How can anyone think it's okay to return something a year later or to think it's okay to exchange something at a different store from where the item was purchased??? I've been too lazy to exchange/return things at a reasonable time in the past and I've just taken the loss. After all, it was my own fault. How about trying some personal responsibility people! |
|
Once again... an OP who is sure it's all about her.
The rules. Read them. Learn them. Live them. Even with some slack, you're SOL here and not nec. because Saks sucks. You are responsible for you. |
|
PP Here ... OM Fucking G ... OP wants to return them to a DIFFERENT store?
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. OP ... your head is stuck so far up your clueless ass that nothing anyone here says can possibly penetrate ... Wow ... just, wow ... ;-o (where's that "WTF" icon when I want it?). |
|
Maybe I've been on DCUM too long, but I could have sworn this exact same situation happened before.
Anyone else remember this story? I don't remember the baby daddy or breakup drama, only the entitled OP wanting to return shoes after a year, possibly to another store. |
| eh, read the whole thread. it's pretty sad. lot of baggage tied up in those shoes. she's just cycling through the emotions one year later. it's not really a WTF!!! imo. more like, that sucks, i'm sorry, try to move on. donate the shoes to charity and write them off. |
| People. OP did not say she was going to return them to a different store-- other PPs did. |
| I wouldn't try to exchange at a different store but I would try again at another Saks. Ask for the manager, be polite, take them out of the box to prove they've never been worn. If they're still sold, in stock, and in brand new condition I really don't see the problem. |
| Buy the correct size you need. Then return old shoes on new receipt. Size shouldn't come up on receipt but if it does, play dumb. Done. |
Yes, yes. Do this. It's still not really 100% ethical but it's not UNETHICAL either. Tsk, tsk, tsk... |
Thanks. I will try this first. I could go the eBay route but im not sure I would be able to sell them for enough to get another pair in my size. Though I guess I have lived without them for a year so maybe I'd be better off getting totally different shoes, idk. I was kind of hoping someone would say they had a too-small pair and we could have some serendipitous shoe trading and all would be right with asks and the universe. |
| The place sure isn't Nordstrom. Between there and Needless Markup, I just stopped shopping there. They won't accept returns after 30 days, and it takes weeks to see a credit returned to a credit card, versus Nordstrom which credits your card, or hands you cash back, immediately. Agree, the customer service is inflexible. |
