Saks return policy sucks - WWYD?

Next time buy them at nordstoms, they have a great return policy.

Take them back for an exchange claiming they were a gift.

Maybe I could play dumb and exchange them at Nordstrom. Say they were a gift

Anonymous wrote:Op, how did you approach the sales person when you tried to exchange the shoes? I am guessing you were not contrite but just thought you were entitled to a return. Tell you what, pick another store location and go in an grovel - you are really sorry, you love the shoe, you meant to return it - you had a travel out of the country for several months - you know the return window has passed but all you want is to get a smaller size - you would really appreciate it if they could make an exception to the 90 day return policy.

Let us know if you get a different response!

I called customer service. I definitely groveled because I did feel bad. I was really surprised they were so inflexible. It was only a $200 shoe which is nothing compared to most of their sales, I am sure, so maybe that had something to do with it.

I should have titled this I SUCK - sorry, PPs.

GO TO A STORE!!!

+1 Saks should do better. If unworn and the product is still sold, what's the problem besides inflexible adherence to policy? You don't go to upscale retailers for that kind of nonsense.

Yes. I also got knocked up and went through a terribly painful breakup the week the shoes arrived. I tried them on and put them in the closet to deal with later and forgot.

And I did try them on again after the baby was born, but my feet didn't end up growing at all.

Wow and you are a liar! Seriously THIS is why Nordstroms return policy sucks. So many ppl take advantage and will eventually ruin it for others. DONT return them to Nordstrom if they DID NOT come from there. WTF is wrong with you!

I want to hear more about the break-up before I decide whether you suck or not. Was it with the baby's father? Did BabyMan dump you?

Also, it may not bc most stores not have special return labels on their products - the minute the exchange is scanned they will know that it was not purchased at the store.

If they carry the exact same shoe in the exact same box and are handing over the exact same shoe in the exact same box, how is that fraud?

Yes, it was the baby's father who dumped me. The shoes came the next day.
