Yes, McLean sounds very appealing now that we all know that you love or live there . I agree, PP. I think that this is the shopping poster from the Tyson's posts and the Capitol Hill hater. TOTALLY sounds like the same irrationally hostile person.
Your anger is gross, lady. As to OP's question - Logan Circle or Dupont. |
OMG |
| Tough to say, maybe just larger home around the corner in CCDC. |
| NYC. That's an easy one. |
what's wrong with charlotte? |
|
One of the houses in Somerset that borders on Norwood Park. Lots of green space, walking distance to metro, shopping etc . . .
|
|
Cleveland park for sure! It really has everything, if you are close enough to Conn Ave;
Just enough great places to eat (I would move there for Palena and Dino alone) plus the library, dry cleaner, market, metro, pet store, a few good bars and a few good carryout places, and the Uptown. Green space for dogs and kids, but lots of places for adults too. Best of both worlds in my mind. |
I know! My friend and I were talking about that the other day. memories. . . |
| With Mclean Not only do you get a nice area, you don't have those god awful dc / md taxes on your property |
Excuse you, but I'm hostile? You're the one who had to quote my advice and jone on it. I don't know what your beef was about. Despite all of the PPs opinions, McLean, Chevy Chase, and Potomac are considered to be the nicest neighborhoods in the entire DC area. They were the top 3 I believe in Washingtonian too. Anywho, OP can go drive around McLean, and then compare to Dupont, Logan, or Georgetown. The answer would be obvious. I don't know who would want to live in Dupont especially unless they are 20-something or maybe LGBT or on the Real World. yuck. A bar/restaurant/20-something clusterf*ck. But I'm in my 30s, maybe OP is a lot younger, who knows. For me, that whole place was so 1995/1996. |
| Oh my god, would the pro-VA poster please pay someone smart enough from DC or MD to start your own VA Moms and Dads website? Pretty please? |
|
I would live in WV near my parents.
Easy access to cities in Ohio and PA, free childcare for me (I can go shopping w/o a stroller!), low cost of living, no traffic, high quality of life, beautiful nature, moderate weather. Just no jobs.

| Capitol hill. Love it here and sad that I will have to move in a few years because of the schools. |
Don't know the hill so well but at eastern market one weekend we parked by what looked like a nice elementary school. I don't go for the hype on schools, I think many of dcps schools get a bad rap. My dd goes to a dcps school not and we love it. Just saying, we admire your life on the hill. Seriously. Maybe you can make it work. Seems so darned family friendly. But maube just for the ones with young ones? Can you replicate what was done in nw wheres there's a real renaissance of the local publics? It's crazy how mic people love their Deal ms etc. such a turnabout from years ago. |
| Wow I had a ton of typos in that. Please decipher if you care to! |
