Fun question, OP (despite the predictable pissing contest that it started - don't you biddies ever get tired of this crap?).
I'm going to divide my answer into two parts. First, I THINK I'd want to stay in the city, so I'd probably look at some of the enormous townhouses/brownstones in Logan Circle, Dupont Circle, or the Hill. Contrary to the opinion of some, some streets of those areas with really, really nice homes that aren't overrun by drunk twenty-somethings. I don't find Cleveland Park that appealing, though I have no real reason for that, and I see why others woudl like it. If I wanted to leave the city, however, I'd probably look at Great Falls and/or McLean. If I wanted to stay a bit closer, there are some neighborhoods in Bethesda or N. Arlington that I'd consider. |

Georgetown resident here. The answer is yes. Our neighborhood is literally crawling with them, i.e., lots of toddlers. There's also a fair amount of school age children here as well. Personally, I'd choose Spring Valley or Wesley Heights over Georgetown. I live on the west side and, while it's nice, it's starting to feel a bit closed in for me. I also avoid M ST or Wisconsin on weekends because it's too crowded and it's hard to navigate a stroller. |
