I'm not sure how many real locals will respond on this forum, if any. I am one though, so here it goes: #1) McLean - it's got the expensive homes, and it's the most convenient location as almost any store or food type imaginable is within 5 minutes because of Tysons Corner. Plus, it's on top of all the major roads - 495, 66, GW Parkway, and the Toll Road. Convenience! #2) Chevy Chase, MD. More urban. Older moneyish, borders DC. Very walkable. #3) Potomac, MD. The most gorgeous of anyplace in the DC area by far, but almost no retail at all in the whole town. It just very very residential - like Great Falls, VA.
It's Shopping Poster from the Tysons Is The Epicenter of the East Coast thread!
NO - the question dumb f*ck is where would you chose to live. My top choice is McLean, etc.
Yes, McLean sounds very appealing now that we all know that you love or live there  . I agree, PP. I think that this is the shopping poster from the Tyson's posts and the Capitol Hill hater. TOTALLY sounds like the same irrationally hostile person. Your anger is gross, lady. As to OP's question - Logan Circle or Dupont.
Excuse you, but I'm hostile? You're the one who had to quote my advice and jone on it. I don't know what your beef was about. Despite all of the PPs opinions, McLean, Chevy Chase, and Potomac are considered to be the nicest neighborhoods in the entire DC area. They were the top 3 I believe in Washingtonian too. Anywho, OP can go drive around McLean, and then compare to Dupont, Logan, or Georgetown. The answer would be obvious. I don't know who would want to live in Dupont especially unless they are 20-something or maybe LGBT or on the Real World. yuck. A bar/restaurant/20-something clusterf*ck. But I'm in my 30s, maybe OP is a lot younger, who knows. For me, that whole place was so 1995/1996.
