Are you all the same person?
Have you created most of the posts here? Every time someone asks when/where did this happen exactly, there's no response. |
No. I was being racist. I made no bones about it. You people meant - whitey. But I agree with the most recent poster I think this was BS. So lets all join hands and forgive the name calling. Until next time. |
| This just makes me sad. I'm sad for the boy, sad that the mother did this, no matter what the reason. How do you get to a place in your life where this is what becomes of you? It's just...sad. |
So, loving your kid justifies stealing? Doubt that. If your DS needs something, make sure you have a job that allows you to pay for it. That's the best way to show your DS how much you love him! |
|
Is it worse to steal to support your kid or prostitute yourself? We all know it is nearly impossible to get by just doing honest low-skilled labor.
Off to start a spinoff thread now! |
| But if you really do not have money, then what is there in Filenes basement that you have to have? |
|
Um, sorry, being poor does not give someone the right to steal clothing.
My grandparents, and all of our parents or grandparents lived during the Great Depression. Guess what? They absolutely went without food rather than steal. Or everyone in the family worked when they could to afford food. Have we seriously forgotten our values? |
| I've looked online and I cannot find any news about this. Did this even happen?! |
|
Here's some perspective, Winona Ryder was caught shoplifting. It was a high for her. Sometimes people don't steal because they are in need, sometimes they do it because they want something they cannot afford so they take it, or they have what they "need", but not what they "want". Who steals for their children at Filene's? Not every mother w/ child caught stealing is in need of nourishment. Case in point, Casey Anthony wrote bad checks, which is a form of stealing, she was not in need, she was "wanting" things she could not afford.
Big difference. |
|
I would rather prostitue myself than put my child in this situation. How horrible!
I don't care how broke you are stealing is not okay, plus what are you teaching your kid? |
|
Yep, this poster has been quite busy
|
|
So, we have racist posters, posters who equate shoplifting to letting a two year old eat a cracker in a store, posters who hate the poor, holier than thou posters, and a few compassionate posters.
Folks, move along. There's nothing to see here. |
My mom was born in 1960, last time I checked that wasn't the Great Depression, and you are assuming all of our grandparents grew up in American. Not the case. |
Not the pp you're responding to, but I must respond to this idiocy. Are you a white woman? If so, you'll be pleased to know that you're the main beneficiary of affirmative action. |
I think the poster really meant "PYT" as in the Michael Jackson song. Aren't we all Pretty Young Things? |
