What a horrible person. He 3 or 4 yr old son looked so scared. Why would she take her son with her to go commit a crime? What the hell is wrong with these people.

Were you one of the ones who said it was all right to eat food in grocery store before paying for it? Same principle.

Not that I am condoning shoplifting, but these are hard times, and who knows what her story is? Maybe the child had no shoes to wear? However, if she were shoplifting jewelry (etc) that would be a far different story.

Nope, sorry. Heard of salvation army and goodwill? It's not okay to steal no matter what the situation is.

+1. But maybe she needed food or pay for a place to stay and shoplifted merchandise to get money in the case of jewelry.

Unless the grocery store has a sign that says it's OK. In which case it is the opposite principle.

I didn't know Filene's has children's shoes.

The sad and honest truth is that NOTHING surprises me anymore. I've seen people (including parents) of all types - A shoplifting parent doesn't surprise me.

What was she stealing? And why? I'd be slightly more sympathetic if it was something they actually needed. But that isn't always the case.

High horse glass house. Hmmmm. You don't know what's going on. I'll let you know right now if my DS needs something I'll do whatever needs to be done to get it.
I guess you just don't love your kid(s)... Judgment doesn't feel good aimed at ya'. Does it?

As an overly educated AA, I like to think OP is talking about PWT.
Oh yeah I went there after the "these people " comment it is deserved.

She probably meant people who take their kids with them while they shoplift.
