She pooped her pants many times I'm sure that's pretty horrific.

It's an inconvenient truth that the cheerleaders don't want to talk about.

They have learned to enjoy pooping themselves just to be skinny. It's sad really.

You'll shit your brains out but at least you'll be thin!

AWWWW look at you talking to yourself.

Reminds me of the Olestra potato chips that came with the warning of "anal leakage". Those didn't last long.

Neurontin/gabapentin, completely debilitated me. But I'm not stupid enough to think that means nobody should take these meds. It's actually a relatively low-risk med, and I would advocate for trying it. Most people won't have a reaction like I did.

The vast majority of the people on GLP1s report constipation issues (some due to slower movement of food through the GI system and some due to eating less). So statistically, shitting yourself wouldn't even be on the radar for me. In fact, my IBS is mostly resolved after being on GLP1s (but I realize that's a sample of 1 and not scientific, which is basically the same as Mayim's anecdotal BS).

Remember those alli diet pills? They did that too. My sister got so sick from them!

Anonymous wrote:Did any of you read "Mayim Bialik: My GLP-1 Nightmare" article? It's amazing and eye opening for those of us who have not jumped on this bandwagon of GLP-1's. I really think they're not preparing those for the possible massive side effects and of course no one really knows the long term side effects for those who abused the medication to lose those last 20 pesky pounds. So few doctors are speaking up but when I've questioned a new of mine they mostly all say the same those meds should be used when it's a life or death situation like severe obesity is going to end someone's life. Whatever your personal thoughts are I'm glad she put her voice out there.

I hear she feels the same way about vaccines, so, I'll pass on her medical views.

Me: "Here is a medication that has helped millions of people. I hear a D list celebrity says it's dangerous and that people really should be more wary of this stuff. People just don't know how dangerous it is! I need to tell them! It's so reckless to take this medication, according to this anti vax D list celebrity! Stop!"
Also me: "how come you guys get so worked up when I post this?"

Oh hey OP. Glad to see you're back.

I consider it infinitely weirder to post for the 247th time about something that doesn't concern you at all. Thanks!

How does this concern you?

I have been taking Ozempic for five years now. Very few side effects, monitored by my doctor, brought my cholesterol, triglycerides, A1C and BP back down to normal. Any other questions I can answer for you?

How nice. But you're not the only one allowed to comment or discuss.

Did I preclude anyone from commenting? Comment away and I'll say what I want to say in response.

How does someone talking about Mayim's experience concern you? It doesn't. So get used to seeing posts like this.

Did you just want to make your OP and then close the thread for comments? You can ask Jeff to lock it after your post if you want. Otherwise, people are probably going to respond, even if their responses disagree with you.

No, I don't think I will. I will point out how dumb and idiotic it is each and every time I see posts like this. Get used to it.

Oh, I will. I enjoy these threads and how worked up you get.

So is the point of posting it to work people up? Or to share information? I welcome sharing information and rational discussion about stuff, but not with people who post solely for the purpose of upsetting people. Because that's just kind of mean.

When you come out swinging you get what you get. OP posted the article and some poster freaked out.

I'm not OP but saying "I'm glad she got her story out" and then launching into "OMG you just want to take my drugs away!" is a huge stretch.

+1,000 big pharma bots?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh no! Mayim said it was bad!!!!!! RUN!!!! Don't think for yourself or talk to your doctor. TRUST YOUR D LIST CELEBS FOLKS!!!!!

Exhibit A of a weird over reaction. Where is anyone saying that EVERYONE will have a bad reaction?

Hers is just one experience. As PPs have pointed out, with every drug there is a range of reactions. Some people will have side efffects. The range of side effects will vary. Why would you be so cruel to someone who had a bad side effect telling their story. It's simply another perspective. Any sane and smart person knows you weigh risks and benefits when you consider a new drug. There is still lots to learn about this particular drug. There is some fascinating work on how it impacts the brain, things like addiction.

Don't be such a douche.

She has a PhD degree in neuroscience and she's also an excellent writer. You all sound like cry baby fools since you disagree WITH HER ACTUAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. It's like they are only child left posting on this website now.
