This, Democratic establishment wants an Israel first candidate and he'll be the perfect fit.

Isn’t that the current beef with Trump, he’s Israel first? So we just make the same mistakes again and again and then act all shocked when things are looking too familiar.

The dem establishment, corporate and consultant class are all in on Israel and AIPAC. They would rather throw the country over a cliff vs break with Israel. They will actually tell you that to your face. In the current climate that means the Dems can not win.

Maybe the progressive can break off to form a new party or something. Rahm Emanuel and Third Way are planning to spend 20 million against progressives because they do not support Israel. Everything go on and this is what the dems priority is.

We will have Tucker as president.

How are the Republicans to win then? They got us into a war with Iran in service to Israel. Facts will matter.

Look at the democrats. Which of the ones mentioned will break with Israel, purge the government of Trump followers(DOD, DOJ, ICE, FBI, ICE, etc), prosecute Trump’s family, etc? People needed to be arrested and tried- the agents who executed US citizens.

Boring white male, religious black Democrat

Both from the South, both are fairly moderate. Both could appeal to key Democratic constituents and Independents

I think a lot of people are going to have a strong desire for normalcy after 10+ years of political chaos. I have noticed that Beshear has been mostly been staying out of the way of national politics. (Unlike pritzker). This will probably be to his benefit when the time comes. People are going to want to shut the door on this era, and probably act like it never happened.

I disagree. I absolutely refuse to vote for someone who was silent.

Give me Chris Murphy, or AOC, or Melanie Stansbury, or John Ossoff.

There is zero chance I will support Kamala, who had brunch while the country was burning (and I was a huge supporter of hers).

Yeah, agreed. No one is voting for a return to quiet subservience. A great 2028 litmus test for candidates is going to be how they treated this period in time and how they speak now about prosecuting and arresting the people in this administration once back in power.

+1 we had that "return to normalcy" in Biden and what was the point.

So, more drama?

No way it will be Shapiro.

This sentiment is not shared by most of the voting population given the results of 2016 and 2024.

no one from the coasts, no one of color, no one with AIPAC issues.

No more women on ticket. It's the kiss of death. The Biden/Harris ticket beat trump only because it was trump.l

Pete Buttigieg, I hope.

I have personally been subjected to the racism of affluent white gay men and I refuse to reward one of their ilk with the White House.

I prayed that I would live long enough to see a woman President Hillary Clinton was the most qualified person to ever run and she must to the least qualified moron to ever run. Kamala Harris also extremely qualified a d list to same moron in who was convicted of 34 felonies plus convicted of a sex crime.

No more women. America is misogynistic to its core.

So many questions. Foremost- how could he do this while his children were home? I weep for them and their mother who did not deserve this.

Pritzger is option one. Who cares if he's rich... everyone in politics is rich. He can fight, and he's done a good job fixing Illinois' fiscal issues.

Beshear is option 2. A bit milquetoast, but acceptable to the giant waffling middle of America.
