This isn't totally true.

What seems to be lost on many women who think this way is that Hillary Clinton actually got more votes than Trump. She only lost the election because of the Electoral College system that we have. Hillary "won" the popular vote. As for Kamala, she wasn't a good candidate. She ran in 2016 and won no delegates.
This is sucH bullshat. Twenty-seven people ran in the Democratic 2020 primaries. Only two people secured any delegates, Biden and Sanders. Like twenty-five other candidates, Harris dropped out due to funding and endorsed the frontrunner, Joe Biden. People forget that Biden did not receive any delegates when he ran for POTUS in 1988 and 2008. When he ran again and won in 2020, it was only because he had been the VP to a popular POTUS. Karmala had a lot going against her when she ran again in 2024. First, she had the misfortune of entering the race with only sixty days to campaign and tell her story, whereas her opponent had been campaigning for four years. She was the VP of an unpopular POTUS, in which she refused to throw him under the bus and distance herself. She was a female in a man's world where the men of all races considered her nothing more than a sexual object. She was a Black-identified person in a world that, despite her achievements as a two-term elected District Attorney in one of the most populous cities in the country; a two-term elected State Attorney in the country's most populous state; and an elected Senator in the most populous state, she was considered nothing more than DEI because you know Black people cannot possibly be qualified. Enough with she wasn't a good candidate. She was an excellent candidate who received over 73 million votes, more votes than any presidential candidate in US history, except, of course, to the person she eventually lost to. pulled in more votes tha
PP here.

As much as I admire her accomplishments and qualifications that you have listed, I still didn't think she was a good candidate to run for president. Zero charisma and never giving a straight answer to a question comes to mind whenever I see her being interviewed. As for her being black and being considered DEI, I'm black too.

Pretty sure her loss had much more to do with her running for president while at the same time being the VP of one of our most unpopular presidents ever. Any suggestion of that not being the primary factor is a silly waste of time.

Only one of the many candidates in 2020 had the "right" people in their corner. It came down to two after Warren realized she was wasting her time running against the establishment. One of the remaining two is a progressive populist speaking truth to politics with an ambition to close the wealth divide and the other is a 50 year politician with well established relationships with the billionaire mega-donors who control our political system. Who do you think wins? Biden, and here we are. Reduce the influence of money in politics or else expect more of the same.

You forgot that the guy who won was the only one who during the primary was polling consistently ahead of Trump in the general.

Trump in 2020 was even less popular than Biden was in 2024. A blind squirrel could have beaten Trump in 2020. Any poll suggesting otherwise was a random one off poll of a 1000 people that was reposted a gazillion time by big money propaganda machines who feared a progressive Dem nominee much, much more so than the establishment friendly Biden. Stop falling for political propaganda and use your common sense. A 77 year old average politician with poor communication skills being the "only" person who can beat a Carter level of unpopular incumbent president with a 37% approval rating??? Does that make any sense? No, it doesn't.

This is true but misleading. Trump's popularity only fell off a cliff in 2020 due to his handling of the pandemic. By the time it became a national crisis every Dem except for Biden, Sanders and Gabbard had already withdrawn from the race. So the president that everybody else in that primary was running against was riding high with a strong economy.

Trump's approval rating consistently hovered around 40% for 95% of his first term. There were some brief fluctuations in 2020 but no cliff fall off until Jan 6th 2021 happened. Between Trump, Biden, and Carter, it is Trump who is the most consistently unpopular president and from day one of the 2020 POTUS campaign season, Trump was the most easily beatable incumbent we've had since Carter and by a wide margin. The numbers don't lie.

Democrats should be concerned about other candidates. I think Brian Kemp and Ron DeSantis are going to run. I think MJT is going to run. Perhaps Glenn Youngkin and Tim Scott. Maybe Tucker Carlson.

None of these people are damaged by the Trump brand. 2028 is not going to be the election cakewalk that most Democrats think it's going to be. The Democratic brand remains in the gutter. It'll be a real race. Which is why getting a good candidate who can win the battleground states is so important.

DeSantis is DeDonefor. He’s begging Trump for a position in the administration.

Pre-pandemic this is what the polls looked like. Lots of them, both national and swing states. You’re not remembering this clearly at all.

You are citing a poll from January of 2020. The "Biden is the only person that can beat Trump" propaganda began to be pushed in the September/October of 2019 time frame after the billionaire mega-donors became scared to death of a Warren or Sanders presidency due to those two appearing just as likely to receive the nomination as Biden during the summer of 2019. Mind-control from well crafted messaging campaigns are very, very powerful in the era of social media. Just looking at this from a common sense perspective- is it even fathomable for a 77 year old who had never before been popular when put on the national stage to be the "only" living soul a major political party in a country of 335 million people could produce to beat an incumbent as weak and unpopular as Trump was in 2020? Come on, man!

If something makes no sense at all, it is usually because it makes no sense. We all need to be less gullible going forward or else someone worse than Trump will soon be our leader.

The only one obsessed is Republicans. Their obsession with other folks' genitals, preferred name, and personal sexual decisions is beyond bizarre.

The ridiculous gender pronoun and trans talk that was somewhat effectively pushed by the GOP during the absence of any Dem leadership since 2017 will no longer be effective once the Dems nominate a legitimate leader in 2028. That propaganda won't be effective in 2026 either because a majority of the swing voters who determine election outcomes will be voting against the current unpopular party in power regardless of silly genital talk.

The Democratic Party elite & its pundits told you:

- A freshman senator named Barack Obama could never be elected president

- Hillary Clinton was electable

- Donald Trump could never be elected

- Kamala Harris was the most electable option

- Zohran Mamdani was not electable
