Boring white male, religious black Democrat

Both from the South, both are fairly moderate. Both could appeal to key Democratic constituents and Independents

I would love a religious moderate Black man.

The only issue I have with Warnock on the ticket is that it keeps him from running for re-election in the Senate. That seat is a toss-up even with Warnock running.

I think a lot of people are going to have a strong desire for normalcy after 10+ years of political chaos. I have noticed that Beshear has been mostly been staying out of the way of national politics. (Unlike pritzker). This will probably be to his benefit when the time comes. People are going to want to shut the door on this era, and probably act like it never happened.

Sigh. I guess that Kamala Harris "they/them" ad worked.

Both sides are/were too intent on changing culture rather than improving things that matter to the general US population. I don’t want to talk about Jesus and I don’t want to tiptoe around he/she/they/we/us/it/yo. Anyone who stops focusing on gender nonconformity and avoids getting into stupid shit with the Pope of all people will be a massive win for the whole country. No one seems to know how to keep the focus on the important stuff and get the job done so they focus on changing US culture and shoving weird stuff into the spotlight.

Maybe you were not paying attention, but Harris's campaign focused on things like stopping post0covid price gouging, getting costs down particularly healthcare, making more fair the tax code, and investing in the American people and not billionaires.

She did not campaign on pronouns or gender non-conformity, though when asked, advocated for the civil rights of ALL Americans.
.

And yet, there is no reason to believe she would have done differently than Biden to sign off on redefining the meaning of biological sex to mean gender.
If someone can’t get something so simple right, how can they be trusted?

That's the plan, right? The Republicans will run on trans fear mongering since this seems to be their only message.

I mean if we're going to project what a candidate is going to do instead of what they campaign on, we can all be fairly confident that the next Republican President will get us into a Middle Eastern war. If someone can't get something so simple right (stay out of Middle East wars), how can they be trusted?

I like Kelly and dislike Newsom, but who cares? I'll vote for any one of them.

I will do what I have to, but I think a lot of people don’t like Newsom. He is extremely wishy and kind of a slimeball.

This, Democratic establishment wants an Israel first candidate and he'll be the perfect fit.

Isn’t that the current beef with Trump, he’s Israel first? So we just make the same mistakes again and again and then act all shocked when things are looking too familiar.

The dem establishment, corporate and consultant class are all in on Israel and AIPAC. They would rather throw the country over a cliff vs break with Israel. They will actually tell you that to your face. In the current climate that means the Dems can not win.

Maybe the progressive can break off to form a new party or something. Rahm Emanuel and Third Way are planning to spend 20 million against progressives because they do not support Israel. Everything go on and this is what the dems priority is.

We will have Tucker as president.

How are the Republicans to win then? They got us into a war with Iran in service to Israel. Facts will matter.

I really don't think that's true. After what happened in 2024, with that issue, the establishment hopes that particular issue never rears its head again. As a matter of fact, they will try to run away from it, or at the very least, not embrace it.

Members of the Democratic National Committee voted down a symbolic resolution aimed at curbing the "growing influence" of "dark money" corporate groups in Democratic primaries that specifically called out the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Earlier in Thursday’s meeting in New Orleans, committee members approved a broader measure condemning the influence of dark money in the midterms without naming specific groups. They then rejected a separate resolution that singled out AIPAC.

Allison Minnerly, who sponsored the resolution, responded to the criticism that her resolution was singling out AIPAC, the pro-Israel political lobbying group.

Dream on!

I disagree. I absolutely refuse to vote for someone who was silent.

Give me Chris Murphy, or AOC, or Melanie Stansbury, or John Ossoff.

There is zero chance I will support Kamala, who had brunch while the country was burning (and I was a huge supporter of hers).

Chris Murphy would be a very strong candidate.

My feelings too. We should be able to do better.
