| Beshear/Warnock is my dream ticket |
| Oh good. This thread again... ; |
| Thread title could really be retitled "Which Democrat is going to be President in 2029?" I'm not sure which Republican would want to use up a campaign cycle to lose given how that tends to sideline you. |
I really don't think that's true. After what happened in 2024, with that issue, the establishment hopes that particular issue never rears its head again. As a matter of fact, they will try to run away from it, or at the very least, not embrace it. |
DP. It is nonsense, isn’t it? The gender stuff is massively unpopular, and for good reason. If you can agree it is nonsense, then why not keep it out of the picture? |
| The way things are going, it will probably be Gavin Newsom. |
|
Right now, Gavin Newsom and Mark Kelly seem like the leading candidates. I think Andy Beasher will do well once the campaigns really get going and more people get to know him. I think people will really want an antidote to the Trump sleaze and circus, so Beshear may stand out.
But politics can change in minute. Too early to say who's got what it takes. So far there is no Obama type candidate that everyone is rallying around. |
Yes, that could be pretty good. |
| Mark Kelly - let's ride this artemis enthusiasm to an astronaut president. |
No. No one who condones Netanyahu will succeed. The republicans may love the Israel under Bibi, but dems know it’s become terrible. |
Listen to Beshear at 40:30 for about a minute. This is all he has to do all campaign cycle. I think the country is going to be shocked to hear from somebody that sounds Presidential again, particularly since we still have 2+ years of having to suffer Trump's anger, stupidity, and dementia. |
Maybe you were not paying attention, but Harris's campaign focused on things like stopping post0covid price gouging, getting costs down particularly healthcare, making more fair the tax code, and investing in the American people and not billionaires. She did not campaign on pronouns or gender non-conformity, though when asked, advocated for the civil rights of ALL Americans. |
Boring white male, religious black Democrat Both from the South, both are fairly moderate. Both could appeal to key Democratic constituents and Independents |

. And yet, there is no reason to believe she would have done differently than Biden to sign off on redefining the meaning of biological sex to mean gender. If someone can’t get something so simple right, how can they be trusted? |
