Who is going to be next presidential candidate for democrats?

- A freshman senator named Barack Obama could never be elected president

- Hillary Clinton was electable

- Donald Trump could never be elected

- Kamala Harris was the most electable option

- Zohran Mamdani was not electable

Who cares? Vote for who you want in the primaries. The Democratic Party is the collective will of its voters, nothing more or less.

The only one obsessed is Republicans. Their obsession with other folks' genitals, preferred name, and personal sexual decisions is beyond bizarre.

The ridiculous gender pronoun and trans talk that was somewhat effectively pushed by the GOP during the absence of any Dem leadership since 2017 will no longer be effective once the Dems nominate a legitimate leader in 2028. That propaganda won't be effective in 2026 either because a majority of the swing voters who determine election outcomes will be voting against the current unpopular party in power regardless of silly genital talk.

The trans issue is losing effectiveness. Even Orban didn’t run on it. Will be interesting to see what boogie man GOP comes up with.

Gretchen Whitmer’s right hand woman was indicted by the state AG this morning. Whitmer steered her a $20 million cash grant for a nonprofit that literally didn’t exist until the woman created it *after* being awarded the coin - using her home address to incorporate it. Pretty brazen.

It’s going to be Gavin. Who he picks as VP is the question.

Timing of this is interesting. This has been known for over two years, yet these charges only happen two weeks after a poll had Whitmer as the leading contender for 2028. I think this was an ordered hit to torpedo Whitmer’s presidential aspirations. And probably payback for her playing footsie behind the scenes with Trump.

Too early. A centrist dark horse will emerge from the midterms.

God, I hope not. Way to lose momentum.

A centrist establishment type maybe Schumer will be pushed by the party.

Clearly Kamala Harris. Watch how many write-in votes she gets for governor.

A statute that was meant to fill narrow, time-limited gaps in the American labor market has become a multi-decade pipeline to permanent residence, a wage-suppression mechanism for skilled American workers, an indenture trap for the foreign professionals it nominally serves, and a credential-mill lottery for institutions that exist only on paper. Each of these failures is fixable, and each of the fixes is already implicit in the language of the 1990 act. We do not need to invent a new immigration regime. We need only enforce the one we already have.

And Democrats the party of labor do NOTHING!!!

I am a centrist.

I care not at all for the ICE Gestapo thugs who dragged a U.S. citizen out of his home dressed in nothing but his underpants in the middle of a freezing Minnesota winter.

I also care not at all for the Progressives trying to overwhelm this nation with immigrants, including H1B holders who are stealing jobs from hardworking intelligent American workers.

I will not vote for a Progressive Democratic candidate. The Progressives want to destroy traditional America.

I will vote for another Trump over a Progressive candidate. As awful as Trump is, he is the lesser of two evils. You don't agree? 50% of Americans agree with me.

Give me a candidate who (for example) gets rid of the H1B/OPT programs, who stops creating fake wars when the money could be better spent improving Americans' lives, who is not implicated in the Epstein Express - I will vote for him/her. I promise you that.

Not happening. Kamala Harris just bought a $9 million house in Malibu. No one running for national office does that. They buy a ranch instead.

Harris is not running. And if she is, she remains as delusional as she did the first time when she couldn't even straggle to Iowa. She was an accidental candidate in 2024. There is no base for Harris.
