Sorry. How disappointing.

What's their current front-runner?

Thank you for the kind words. This cycle has been tough (also rejected from Pton early).

Probably UMich. Waiting for Ivy and a few other schools... Hopes are not high though

Rejected. Had coach support, which kept some sliver of hope alive, but we knew it would be tough.

Father Brown always told me that the Lord is prioritizes college admissions in his distribution of miracles.

Provided you donate to his good works.

I know that is frustrating but it is even competitive for a waitlist offer.

You need national or international awards. If you don't have it, you aren't getting in.

My friend has been doing alum interviews for years in DC. Every single applicant they've recommended has been rejected. Including ones from TJ.

Something’s going on and UMich (always strong) is going to have one of the most academically strong classes ever…

My kid is waitlisted at Harvey Mudd too! But he has gotten some solid offers already, so it is OK.

If you don’t mind me asking, what were DCs stats? DD is headed up for junior day soon and not sure how much of a long shot this is going to be.

For anyone, it's an extremely long shot. Consider it more of a lottery than anything else.

My DD was rejected also. 4.0 UW, 6 APs (taking another 6 senior year), 1560, an international award in a STEM competition, research through a competitive summer program, two varsity sports, etc. Wasn't expecting to get in due to the ridiculously low odds. Moving on.

If coach is experienced (there for awhile), approx 30% of ones they offer up get admitted.
