Cruises are awful. Hope you don't get sick. Neighbors just got back from one and had nori virus 3 days in.

$16 on a peice of plastic fabric trash...that, shortly after the trip, will end up in the landfill or the ocean.

But yeah, that one photo that you looked at once and posted to instagram, is priceless.

Exactly. It’s women like this that are why I don’t have many friends. I just can’t with this nonsense.

Don’t take it so seriously. Do or do not and then move on.

But if we “do not” people like OP get all stressed and angsty about it.

As OP said, most people are fine with it. It’s just a few who make noise because they must have the free time.

In these instances, just say “carry on, we’ll wait for you by the bar.” And OP will have to say “got it, see you there.”

What difference does it make? It's not like they were going to go shirtless. Amazon, Walmart, Bonobos, Tommy Bahama, all the same in the end.

They could, but it defeats the purpose and they’ll look out of place in the photo.

This is so tacky. Cruises are bad enough, but matching outfits. Come on. Just let it go. People are trying to be nice and don't want to hurt your feelings, but they don't want to be dressed up like 3 year olds.

Ew. This.

You don't sound like you have many friends or a social life so you really don't need to worry about it.

NP, but haven’t you seen this? All the men enter the room and realize their wives put them all in the same shirt. It’s really cute and makes for a fun photo op. Lighten up! You sound like you’d be one of the loud naysayers.

I have seen this too and it really is fun! I think some church did it somewhere for father's day and the video is hysterical as all the men arrived on a Sunday morning wearing matching shirts. Everyone seemed to have a good time and it really is harmless. But of course "no good deed goes unpunished" these days and there is now drama. People really need to lighten up. There is enough going on in this world that demands strong feelings. What OP is trying to achieve is not one of them.

The husbands whose wives won't participate will probably be sad.

I think you have to lead with that.

Maybe women who are resisting could pair up together and their husbands twin (instead of whole group). Or you could suggest they buy a second shirt of their choosing for their husbands to change into after the prank.

Not OP but yes, I believe this is what OP is thinking.
So, the plan one day is "meet for brunch on the Lido deck at 11" and all the husbands arrive wearing the same shirt. It seems fun!

I am willing to bet that it is not women like this that you don't have many friends

The difference is, they all could have just worn a shirt they already owned and will actually wear again. OP’s dumb plan is just induced demand for garbage that will never be used again.

Don’t dictate what people wear and be controlling.

You know some people were like "nobody asked us to be a part of that!" or "they bought that shirt on Amazon but we would never shop there and nobody liked my idea of finding just any old Hawaiian shirt at Goodwill that defeats the purpose...harrumph!" You can't please all the people all the time so OP should just ignore the difficult ones.

But then it's not a prank on husbands to unknowingly show up in the exact same shirt. Are you always this slow?
