UGA didn’t even make it to a safety school in my kid’s list. We consider it two tiers below Rutgers and UDub. |
Now you know how the rest of us view UF. Illuminating, isn’t it? |
Perhaps there’s jealousy? |
Jealous of all the amazing flagships their kid didn’t get in like UF and UGA. |
| Spouse had a 3yr stint Fl. Oldest child graduated from hs in Fl. UF has a great rep and network in Fl. & seemingly well-respected and solid in the SE. Has become a tough admit. I think people in the region generally view UF as getting closer to UNC and bit better then UGA. |
Yes, we are jealous of the diploma mill which educates a large chunk of its undergrads via online class. The joke is on the non Florida residents who actually pay tuition for that. |
Both excellent schools. I guess that this is the weekly mention of Rutgers here. |
Nah you’re just stupid |
And your kid applied to Rutgers? You’d fit in well in NJ lol Jersey shore mom |
| In 2026, UF all the way. UF is harder get into then years ago. The students love the school, have a wonderful time, great academics, sports, weather and outcomes. My DD graduated from UF and recently got accepted into medical school (MD). |
ok, but I'm sure UT and UNC students also loved their experience and have gotten into medical schools. The question is: which one has the best alumni network. In order of strong alumni network: UT, UNC, UF |
| Lot of Gator haters here … |
Their kids didn't get in. No school in the country offers a stronger mix of academics, sports, and FUN than the University of Florida. None! |
| Go Gators!!! |
They’re just bitter after getting rejected! |
